N’KREBL Pottery Studio is a family operation of two potters and a “go-fer.” My wife, Rose Ellen and her sister Mary McGreger are the potters while I am the “go-fer.” We all work with the help and encouragement of our Master Potter, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. KREBL is our initials placed to signify me “holding Rose Ellen tenderly.” Rose Ellen was the first to begin making pottery so some of her pieces are signed with “KREBL” and “RE” on the backs. The “N” preceding our current name came from our daughter’s imagination to make the overall name sound like “incredible.” Mary became interested in pottery while watching Rose Ellen. She began making pottery in her home under the name “MMI Pottery” and her early pieces were signed “MMI” on the backs. Rose Ellen and Mary studied under Master Potter Robert Pickenpaugh of Madison, Mississippi. Rose Ellen and Mary are both members of The Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi as individuals since 2007. Some of our pottery has similar design, but each has the unique touch of the individual potter. We have been called “organic potters” because our pieces include things found in nature such as a variety of leaves, plants, flowers, animals, and birds. We use many different colors on many different pieces instead of limiting our color pallet to just a few. This allows us to custom build you a piece to your color preference. We have found that each piece is built for someone, and we delight in meeting that person when we have the opportunity. Our studio is at our home in Brandon, Mississippi.
