Our Story
We are three sisters who have developed a pure love of baking which was instilled in us by our Mom, Ann. We grew up on fresh baked treats as snacks after school. Mom LOVED to bake and we all grew up on her apron tail watching, helping and of course licking the bowl when she was done.
We unfortunately had to say goodbye to mom as she surrendered to COPD back on April 14, 2014. It was shortly after that when we were cleaning out her kitchen, the place that she loved the most and spent most of her time, that we decided the best way to honor her and keep her alive was to start a baking business in her honor and memory. It was on that Sunday afternoon that Nana’s Treats LLC was born.
We spent the first Christmas without mom baking our hearts out. Mom was infamous for her Christmas baking. She would start at Thanksgiving, hiding and hoarding cookies from the family so that she could make her delicious cookie platters that she would distribute to all her friends and family. It wasn’t Christmas without her cookies and treats! So in her likeness, we baked like elves throughout the holiday season and had the support of our friends and families to circulate our treats and get feedback. After the holidays were over, we decided to expand a bit and experiment. We tested out “cake in a jar” and it was a great success and continues to be one of our fastest moving products along with our loaf cakes and breads. We have done Christmas platters, Valentine’s Giant Cookies, Easter Platters, Giant PEEPS cookies and now are introducing pies to accompany the holidays as well.
