I have been coming here for over 2 years to see Sylvia for waxing and she is fabulous! I cannot recommend her enough. They offer Dazzle Dry polish and it was one of the best manicures I’ve gotten. 10/10 recommend!
I went in for a simple gel removal and they were very nice and accommodating. The girl who helped me was gentle and friendly. I'd definitely go back for a manicure and/or pedicure in the future!
I had the pleasure of meeting Emilia, who took me as a walk-in and gave me a wonderful mani and pedi experience in record time. She suggested the Dazzle nail polish, which dries up super fast, and my cuticles look healthier than ever! I felt so welcomed and relaxed during my visit. The interior design and atmosphere has me looking forward to my next appointment. I highly recommend Emilia to anyone who’s looking for a friendly and skilled nail tech!
I faced Extreme RACISM in Chicago for the first time here at this salon. I went for waxing and the time i entered there the owner a women which were about to provide me service asked me ‘ Are you sure you can pay for this service’ ? And when I said yes my husband is parking the car he is going to be here in few seconds and to that she said she would wait for my husband because she don’t know if I can pay for my service or not that was my second month living in USA as I come from a well reputed family in India . I thought it would look bad on my part if I leave the salon right there hence, I ignored her statement and then inside the wax room she asked me from where I get my service and I told her that I m from India this is my first time here and she said “why don’t you go back from where you came from and get the service” and I literally felt like running away from the service. I told her that I’m good and I want to leave and I don’t want to continue with my service and she said you have to pay full. Although my husband was already at the salon he had no idea what was happening and inspite of extreme RACISM we paid the full amount along with TIP without arguing but those words and her face and her salon and her attitude towards immigrants will hunt me for life.
I went into Nas today for a manicure and pedicure. I'm not sure exactly what was going on with the women doing my nails. She was coughing a lot and seemed Ill. And during covid I feel that if an employee is sick they should stay home so they don't get the clients and other staff that is working sick!. But she left twice into the back for awhile and as far as I could tell she was arguing with other staff. Anyway I was SUPER uncomfortable I left before she started painting my toes. I didn't have a good experience today and left with my nails not looking good. I would NOT recommend Nas Salon and Spa.
Nice deco, relaxed atmosphere & clean environment. It was our first time trying mani-pedi. Everyone there was friendly, professional, and made us feel comfortable, relaxed, and most importantly, safe. We had a great experience, no doubt we will be back soon!
The woman who waxed me made me feel EXTREMELY un welcomed! This was my first time getting a Brazilian wax, she wasn’t personable, her customer service was horrible, I arrived exactly 11 minutes late and I did contact them about 20 minutes before my appointment time to let them know. The woman I contacted advised I could still come but she said there’s an appointment right after me. I came in and the wax lady looked at me in disgust! She was a white woman however she had an accent so I believe she may have been from another country. This shop is located in wriggleyville so I shouldn’t have been shocked to only see white and a few asians working there! She said we have to be quick because I have an appointment after you! Disregarding MY APPOINTMENT! I got undressed and she stayed in the room… I was very nervous I told her it was my first time getting a Brazilian wax and she didn’t make it comfortable for me at all! One thing a black man/woman can feel is when they’re not wanted!!! Idc what anyone says… if you aren’t black you will never feel this feeling & she made me feel every bit of it! She wasn’t delicate, comforting, or anything! I know this is a painful service especially when you’ve never had it done but there wasn’t anything to help me feel better…. I will never go back & I will also make reviews on all social media platforms! Not to mention the Groupon price was $20.09 after the discount was applied… she goes “I think it was $29, wait $23 something…” I politely Zelle her $30! I was doing them a favor because I was told if you go directly through the company they can get the full profit vs partial from Groupon! This place was awful and as a black woman I’ll never let another white woman service me!!!! ‍ you don’t have to tell me twice! I’ll gladly take my business elsewhere and I’ll be sure to tell everyone else!Service: Brazilian waxing
Please do not go to Nas Salon & Spa to get your pedicure done. I used to go here a lot because it’s close to my apt, but then I realized how much damaged they had done to my nails. They did not take all the gel out of my nails, and they also damaged my cuticles. I understand that this is an affordable salon, but please pick a different place to do your nails. It will be worth it. Thankfully, I found a different salon where they made me see all the damaged done.
