Mostly bad experiences here. This place is one of the reasons why service members stationed in the area can put their family members on Tricare Prime US Family Health Plan and use a civilian Doctor as an alternative and not need to pay out of pocket. If you are retired you can also do the same and not be seen here. Upon seeing my civilian doctor he was appalled by the medications I was on and how long I was on it. He immediately ordered a liver function test and changed my prescriptions. My family and I have a much better quality of life.
Steer clear from this clinic. If you love your spouse, get her anywhere else besides here. Most staffs are rude, unprofessional, their secondary patient representative hang up on me without tell me why, and they never pick up their phone, or call back. Their excuses for bad service is oh we are ruining low on people. Stay away from this place. Not worth the hassle.
Been trying to schedule a dental appointment for over a year. Takes two months to be seen by a doctor. Nobody ever answers phones. When i do get someone on the phone, the call randomly drops or they hang up not sure which is true. All around horrendous care and service.
Great place for care. I've never been better taken care of. Operational Duty Screening in particular were really organized and helped me get my deployment paperwork signed off very quickly. I can't wait to seek care here for many years to come.
I haven’t ever experienced a staff that’s this unqualified to do their jobs, I went in for a physical once because I hadn’t got one in years and all they did was take my weight, check my eyes I need glasse and still do and they said nothing to me about that and take my vitals, they didn’t check my back my shots or anything else. Also I’m pregnant now and I had to get blood work done and more than half of my tests for screenings were missed the first time so I had to do them all this round because their staff isn’t trained properly. If you have medications it takes over an hour to be seen to even fill your subscriptions unless you call hours in advance. I think this is the worst medical facility I have ever been to and I could go on and on and on.
I love my provider and many of the medical staff are extremely knowledgeable, informative, and attentive to the needs of their patients. They do have a decent amount of auxiliary departments within the clinic here, ie. Physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy, etc. There are only a couple things that really keep this from 5 stars. There are now fewer services being provided here from before such as, surgery and emergency care, and the wait times for pharmacy can be horrendous at times. Other than that, it's a clean and a fairly close knit clinic.
Optometry scheduled me for a 0700 appointment but didn’t open until 7:30 after I had showed up on time. Wasn’t very happy about that. Family medicine hasn’t answered back my phone messages for a week.
This is by far the worst medical facility I have experienced. It has not been over a month since trying to get my wife on the EFM program type 1 diabetic on an insulin pump with a high risk pregnancy and after being told it is just waiting on a doctor to sign it ends up now needing to go to a completely different doctor to fill out as well then to be told oh it needs to go back to the other doctor. I was actually told by one of the nurses that our paperwork sat in their office for a week because they did not know what to do with it. Also we need a referral to an off base for my wife's high risk OB appointments. We waited about 3 weeks to get the referral in the mail from Tricare this is already quite a while without being seen with my wife's medical conditions the referral is to Everett, so I call the hospital to make an appointment only to be told sorry sir we told the doctor that we cannot treat her here and you need to refer her to another facility, so now we have to wait another 3 weeks for another referral this time to Seattle! That is a 2 hour drive without traffic. I was in Virginia before here, my wife has had these medical conditions with my 2 other children both high risk pregnancies, she was seen immediately at Portsmouth with zero hesitation and no obstacles to jump through. I would have never chose orders here if I would have known about this medical facility. And don't even get me started on the pharmacy that is a whole mess on it's on.
Terrible medical place if you're type one diabetic like myself. I've been waiting two weeks now to get a referral for supplies I need to, you know live, and when I finally got the referral approved it was to a distributor that doesn't even do the supplies I need. And no this wasn't Tricare messing up, though im sure if they did a little research they would have known the referral they were approving couldn't actually help me, this was instead their own diabetic nurse who wrote out the referral saying I would get my supplies from them. So now I'm waiting to get that sorted out so I can actually have my life necessary supplies. Never had any of these issues when I was in Jacksonville and through my pcm there. Don't go here if you have a diabetic dependent.
Apparently any level of pain in my knees that I feel is debilitating is “normal” says every doctor, excuse me, flight surgeon I see there. Had one physical therapist give me a piece of paper with a bunch of stick figures doing certain exercises. Not impressed with the care. Go out in town if you have the option.
