Integrity, honor, and commitment to the citizens of Nashua are what makes the Nashua Police Department excel.
The officers of the Police Department strive to make the community a safe place where people can enjoy living a peaceful and relaxed life. We want nothing more than the people of our community to be proud to call Nashua their home.
The Nashua Police department consists of 4 full time officers, 2 part-time officers, and 3 certified reserve officers. The officers provide law enforcement and public safety services to the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our officers are ready to respond at all times to a wide range of calls-for-service while performing their day-to-day duties. Through our volunteer reserve officer program we are able to provide extra coverage, as needed, for special events and circumstances with minimal cost to the city.
One of the ongoing missions of the police department is to develop and maintain a good working relationship with the community. Ultimately, we'd like to see the community become an active participant in helping us identify and prevent crimes from occurring. We want to nurture a culture amongst the members of our community in which they will feel comfortable and willing to communicate openly with the officers in our department about any concerns they may have.
Our police department is extremely proud of our commitment to make the community safe. We have several programs in place designed to educate and inform people of all ages on a range of topics including: bike safety, situational awareness & drug awareness. We continually seek out opportunities to develop new programs and deliver them according to the needs of the community.
