I purchased a number of chemical peels just before the pandemic hit! The office was closed for a considerable number of months. When I went to redeem my peels, I was told by the office staff that I needed to pay an additional $300 on top of the $750 already prepaid for services. When I asked the receptionist and office manager where this fee was disclosed in the offer I purchased, they could not. The logic was that I needed an evaluation because of how long it had been since I had been seem. When I pointed out that I have had chemical peels at other establishments including at a very reputable dermatologist office on DC I was told that they are held to a different standard. To perform a chemical peel regardless of how recently you have been seen, your skin must be evaluated. That's just common sense! So to try to charge an extra $300 for something that MUST be done is ridiculous. Not to mention, I have been a patient on and off for roughly 10 years at this point. I simply asked for a refund which Veronica advised was not a suitable solution. The only option given to me was to use $300 of what I had already prepaid. She stated it had been too long since the purchase. This doesn't sit well with me at all...I feel like I have been bait and switched. This feel like outright theft. So here I sit out of $750 with no recourse! As someone who runs more than 1 business I know that I as the owner have the ability to refund at my discretion and so does her office! So on top of ultimately stealing my money they have lied to my face. If Dr. Sandy was not a quality dermatologist I would never use her or refer others. She is great at what she does but this is beyond ridiculous. In being as fair as possible I do not know that either of her employees consulted with her but the handling of this situation is not acceptable.
Dr. Sandy is a SCAM ARTIST! Everything about her practice and business is a scam and I regret ever experiencing her. I’ve had nothing but issues with her ever since I started. I’ve ordered products from her website that never came, and she refuses to refund for anything. I’ve purchased chemical peels for over $300 before covid and once her NY office shut down she wants to charge me $300 for an “evaluation” since I haven’t seen her in over a year but how would I when your office is CLOSED!? Mind you, the evaluation was going to be virtual so how are you evaluating my skin properly and charging $300? And once again refuses to refund my money for the chemical peels which 3 years later I STILL DID NOT GET. Everyone says to support black business but this business is very ghetto and poorly ran. Never again!
Do Not seek NaTasha Sandy for dermatology services, she is an incompetent doctor and very unprofessional. This review is long overdue. I stated seeing NaTasha prior to the pandemic and initially thought I was going to have a great experience with her as I was seeking treatment for issues with my scalp and wanting to start laser hair removal treatments. Boy was I wrong. NaTasha suggested I needed PRP for hair loss. Went to get a second opinion from a well respected dermatologist at Johns Hopkins and she was so upset that anyone would tell me I was losing hair when in fact I was not and that PRP would be a complete waste of my time and money…Natasha quoted me for around $3500. The laser she uses Aerolase for hair removal is not recommended by other black dermatologists that I have seen in the DMV area. In fact her laser treatments were ineffective and very painful. I have since found a highly qualified dermatologist whose laser is not as painful and has been very effective. NaTasha had me using La Roche-Posay cleanser, which is a good product for most but for reason was causing me to break out. I informed her of my issue with the cleanser. This woman was totally dismissive and said I was breaking out around my cheek area due to being oily. Went to another dermatologist who has a skin analysis machine…come to find out I have rosacea and the cleanser she suggested has glycolic acid in it which irritates rosacea. Natasha is very dismissive and I was brought to tears one day in her office because she was being so rude towards me. I ended my patient-doctor relationship with NaTasha and asked tinned refunded for the remainder of the treatments I did not receive. She agreed to refund me. However, NaTasha is a LIAR and never gave me my money back. I had to go through my bank to recoup some of my money. I will have to seek other legal assistance to get the rest that is owed to me.
I felt I got absolutely ripped off going here. It was clear that Dr. Sandy wasn’t interested in actually helping me, but rather slowly getting me to spend as much money as I can with having appointments with her and taking a medication that she knew wouldn’t really help. After multiple appointments which was a waste of my time and money, and taking medication that also was a waste of my time and money, she proposed me doing a hair therapy which would cost thousands of dollars. All I needed were simple effective treatments that were a lot less expensive. Already after reaching out to other more respectable dermatologists, I have received so much more efficiently the treatment and care I needed. I highly discourage anyone from going to Dr. Sandy as it’s clear she is more interested in seeing how best to get money from you, rather than actually help you with your skin issues.
FIRST OFF. DR NATASHA SANDY M.D IS NOT part of the board of dermatology so THATS A RED FLAG. long story short I went to her YEARS ago for under eye pigmentation. I spent umm $1700? at the time that was my REFUND money for Financial aid at my local college. The fillers ended up looking bad, I begged for a refund she said "no". I ended up fixing them in Atlanta when I Moved, but man this monster is different. Please AVOID HER. I MET Charlamange in her office, HIS SKIN IS NOT CLEAR. HIS HEAD HAS NO HAIR. So WHY SEE HER?.... Point proven.
I had a very poor experience after getting referred to this practice. I was really wanting it to be positive but it wasn't. Dr. Sandy is just too busy and you can't easily get a hold of her at ALL. I'd go in, and be seen later than my appointment time, have prescriptions sent in that I'd never get a call for and the front staff doesn't do what they say they'll do. I called I kid you not over 15 times and either no one picked up, or someone picked up saying they'll call me back and no one ever did. It got to the point where I drove up there without an appointment whereby I still couldn't get any assistance and Aaliyah promised she'd call me back in 30 minutes and guess what nothing. I got through once after going in person where the phone was picked up and I heard background chatter and then all of a sudden the line just dropped. I even tried filling out the contact form and again nothing. I would not recommend and am now on the hunt for a new dermatologist.
I read good and bad reviews about Dr. Natasha Sandy and I decided to give her a try. She was amazing. Seems everyone has a sense of urgency to be seen right away, but When it’s their turn to be seen they’re in the room holding everyone else up with all their questions and concerns. I decided to try her out myself and she was not condescending and/or arrogant. I was going bald in the middle of my head for ten years. I didn't think it was so bad because I could wear a ponytail and no one would notice. Until one day my beautician told me its starting to spread down the back of my head scared me to wits end. I sprung into action searching for doctors throughout NY. I found a few and they wanted to take baby steps, I knew there was something that could give faster results. I was listening to the Radio and Dr. Natasha Sandy was being interviewed, immediately I knew I need to see her. Scheduled an appointment for consultation and that day I started treatments. After one treatment my hair started to fill-in. I'm on my third treatment and you can not tell I was going bald at all. Money well spent. Dr. Sandy's professionalism and personality is amazing She was very welcoming. She is very informative and passionate about what she does. I can not thank her enough. She informed me of vitamins and remedies that could also speed up the process and it worked. FOLLOW HER INSTRUCTIONS and you will see results.
She is such a good doctor. She is blessed to me. I have been taking treatment from her since 2 years and result are amazing. I feel confident and more beautiful after getting her treatment.My daughter also likes her very much.she treats her like a friend.God bless you Dr.Sandy.
I came to Dr. Sandy because I was experiencing some hair loss it only took two weeks for my first appointment. Dr. Sandy took her time to listen to my concerns and while waiting for the appropriate bloodwork to come back started me on a treatment regimen. I had two PRP treatments and my hair is back stronger and healthier than ever before. She also made an amazing recommendation for a hairstylist they have consulted each other on my hair care needs and continue to consult on an as needed basis. This all took place over the course of a four month period of time. I have since started a skincare regimen with Dr. Sandy and am in love. I feel renewed and excited about my skin and hair which also means in general, I just feel BETTER!!!!! Thank you Dr. Sandy! You’ve literally changed my overall well being.

You are not just another patient on the list to her. On a consistent basis, she makes you feel that your clinical case is as unique as any other high profile patient she sees. She will gives you a detailed treatment plan tailored to your care. She will go above and beyond to ensure you have the appropriate ‘at home’ products. Moreover, her holistic approach to reaching your dermatological goals, especially for those who displays high melanin as myself, is why I will continue to see Dr. Sandy periodically throughout the years to come.
