STRAWBERRY SEASON Nation serves a good selection of food hot off the grill. Today's May 3rd 2023 I decided to walk in and see if they had any pies ready. Sure enough Parking: Gets busy after 3pm Kid-friendliness: Hot grill at your request Wheelchair accessibility: In front of restaurant access
It was okay here. The burger was alright at best, it had way too much lettuce and onion on it. I like both but the amount was excessive. The fries were very middle of the road and so was the pie.Food: 3/5
The 5 Star is for the award winning cheesecake specifically! I've always loved Nations as the cheap late night burger joint that we went to after everything else was closed for the night. One night before a holiday weekend I saw dozens of cheesecakes flying out of the door and figured that it was worth a try. The uniquely soft sweet flavor and almost custard like texture hooked me immediately. Now I know to order ahead of time since they seem to sell out regularly, especially around the holidays.
Solid, fresh hamburger with all the fixing; get it with the grilled onions. If you're in the mood to celebrate, grab a slice of your favorite pie, they have all kinds, even if they are merely decent.Food: 4/5
"Nation's Giant Hamburgers & Great Pies is my go-to place for comfort food. The burgers are huge, juicy, and made with quality ingredients. Their pie selection is mind-blowing, offering a wide variety of flavors. Every visit leaves me completely satisfied and wanting to come back for more!"
A good place for breakfast or burgers. No indoor seating. Order and pickup outside. We had ordered 4 bacon cheese burger and 1 hamburger, 4 fries and a whole banana cream pie. Ate our burgers at the parking lot and saved the pie for home. Burgers were large and taste good. Plenty of onions, lettuce and tomato made it thicker and harder to bite into. Make sure you have napkins ready because it gets juicy. The bacon was still crispy. Fries came unsalted and were just partially soggy and crispy. Next time I would probably order chili fries or cheesy fries. The banana cream pie was very good. Cream is excellent, you can smell the aroma of the banana and taste the freshness of the banana. The crust wasn't soggy but light and fluffy. I will be coming back...
It was a good burger. Onion rings were OK as well. I'll add pictures.Food: 5/5
When I think of a Nation's burger, I think of a classic American burger without any gimmicks. Their burgers are pretty tasty. I got the 1/3 lb. bacon cheeseburger $9.15 + fried egg $1.90 + onion rings $3.60 + soda $2.30 = $18.60 w/tax. The wall menu states the burgers are 3/4 lb. But their website states 1/3 lb patties. The wall menu is kind of misleading because burgers are usually weighed by patty, not by the entire burger. Regardless, I was satisfied. The onion rings were only meh. After eating two of them, it felt more like chore to finish them. It is nice to dine indoors again where I can refill my orange soda.
5/29/21: Very tasty vegebuger! Adequate , but I like crispy . Theirs were kinda mushy. Amazing chocolate shake. Tasty strawberry pie & & cream . I bought their tee-shirt! 6/14/21: Around 4:30 pm: The lady shift supervisor was working VERY hard! Give her a raise!
Nations is the one burger place I'd say has the best burgers ever since childhood. I haven't been there in a while and unfortunately after tonight I won't ever go back to the Westlake nations again. They overcharged my card then denied it. Took my receipt and didn't let me have it back. Then threw all my food together in a bag a mixed in. I dont know what I did to cause such anger and all with the manager say there's nothing she'd do for me but I can go ahead and leave a bad review. Only reason this review has 2 stars is what I got in the bag was still delicious. But I hope the owner actually do something about the management there. I'm still nations loyal and will be going to Alameda.
