Great rental experience at this location!!! Myles and the other gentleman who helped me were friendly and efficient. I got a new Jeep wrangler and everything was perfect. No issues whatsoever. From getting the vehicle to returning it back was a very simple process. I wish all rental companies were as good as this one. Thanks so much!! Happy Customer

Great agent at 2am when I just got off my flight from kona, the only place left open this late, helping me catch my morning flight in from Seattle with a reasonable, clean, one way 2022 camry with a full tank of gas ready to roll. Unimpressed 30mpg, but otherwise car behaved well. I prefer the Toyota corolla hybrids when I can get those. Awesome service at the PDX national car rental. Handy complimentary maps on hand also, nice touch. I'll definitely be back. Super easy car choices, in and out efficiently, smooth deal, the way it should always be. ID and credit card at counter. ID, agreement, and car key bar code at exit. Done, vroom!

Despite the fact that once beautiful Portland has devolved into a filthy homeless camp, the National Rental Car operation at the airport is outstanding. I am and Emerald Club member and as I approached the station out by the cars, I was greeted by a gentleman who asked if I needed any certain kind of vehicle. I told him I needed a truck. He proceeded to show me several options and was an all around nice guy. The return process was just as smooth. Great job.

If you're looking for a quality car rental company, the National team at the Portland airport is ready to impress. Customer service is hard to come by, and excellent service nearly impossible to find. However, my experience this last time was so impressive. Raven, who is still training, for example, greeted us with a smile, made a quick connection with us, and even assessed our need for a luggage cart and got one for us to ease our trek to the terminal. Everyone was smiling and professional. I wish every company would learn from this team how to wow a customer.

Used National Car at PDX. After the Hertz debacle where legitimate rentals were misclassified as stolen, I thought I would try National but they fulfilled the Seinfeld episode You know how to TAKE the reservation but not HOLD the reservation . Reserved a Jeep Wrangler 4 door. Arrived at National at 9 pm 45 mins flight delay and Jeep was not available. Lot was largely picked over. Manager on duty said National is owned by Enterprise and someone from there came and took the Jeep that I had reserved. That is unacceptable. Manager gave me an Audi Q3 for same price but it is a much smaller vehicle than I really needed but there was no choice given the circumstances. They should have at least had a similar size vehicle or larger available. I guess the pandemic has just caused almost irreversible damage to predictable and adequate quality of service. I have to think carefully before choosing my next rental.

Friendly and efficient throughout. From the reservations counter, to the vehicle pick up area, all the way to the exiting checkpoint. Everyone made me feel welcomed like no other rental company before. They didn't have the car I was hoping for, but it's ok because I received a luxury convertible in it's place. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to dropping off my rental car when done.

Recently rented a car from National. The whole experience was smooth! Was able to pick a car I wanted, it was clean and ready to go. Return was just as easy! This is why National is the preferred car rental service for my company!

First time using National. Staff was great, the car was not ready so we had to wait a bit but they worked hard to get it and then compensated us for waiting 20 minutes which we did not ask for. We will definitely be using them again.

The check out Rental experience in Portland had much to be desired. The initial guy who showed us to the cars was awesome. Then it had much to be desired. We waited in line to check out the car for quite some time, and finally had to move to another aisle. Then I was lectured of what kind of insurance I had, and what I could provide. I have had an account with National for many years. 30 minutes to check out of the airport parking lot.

No cars available and was given a vehicle with a crack in the window shield. Air conditioning barely turn on and didn’t get cold in the middle of summer. Definitely not an executive level car which is my rental status. Was told I would receive a free day rental, but did not. Usually receive really great service so disappointed with this last rental.
