National Car Rental System

I give National car rental 5 stars for service, available car selection & awesome people at the desk & checkout. This location is probably the best among all the national car rental places in the nation & don't take me wrong National car rental do take care of me all the time at other locations as well. I visit LAX at least 2-3 times a month & I'm always 100% satisfied with service, follow ups & agent willingness to assist. Some of the cars I got here as Executive Elite member. Best car rental experience ever! Used National for a one way rental and everything about the process was quick and simple. Quick pickup from the airport shuttle, pick any car in the aisle and move on. Car was clean, full tank of gas and comfortable to boot! Only had to show my DL and email reservation and on my way to my destination. Drop off was even easier! Drove right up to the drop off location and was out of the airport not even 5 minutes later. Bill was received via email a few minutes later and was accurate, nothing to complain about at all. Would 100% use National again, better than some of those 'budget' rentals that created problems for me to deal with while on vacation! Great job National!

I rented a car for a week from LAX no so long ago. Although getting from the airport to the rental location is a pain the National experience was very nice. The manager Davaughn was especially helpful and managed to find me a vehicle that was a bit nicer than the one I ordered convertible! and even gave me some useful tips on how to use it.

Every time I go on a business trip, I rent a car here. The pickup truck is also in good condition. Sometimes the cost is different, but that can be consulted again. Many people use this.

Very good uneventful experience! From Belinda doing a superb job checking the car out to Aaron's H, entertaining all with great service and humor while dropping off. Belinda was very pleasant and provided answers to questions with a classic big smile. Aaron was such a delight to ride with as he's a natural performer. I commend both for there professional & expert service. Oh yeah, the car was clean, fresh and a joy to drive. I'll undoubtedly use National Car Rental going forward.

It took over 45 minutes to take the shuttle to get here. Meanwhile other shuttles at LAX were coming and going much quicker. The car I got smelled like smoke, but I didn't notice it until the car got warm the next day. I also noticed that there was dog hair all over in the back. Lucky I'm not allergic, but it was still gross. I've usually had good luck with the partner companies like Enterprise. Not sure what's wrong with this National location and their lack of standards. Please clean your cars!

National is absolutely the best! You show a pic a car from the appropriate line and drive off. They never waste your time. When you drop the car off they ask you if everything went well. If it didn’t they fix it! I only use national!

I understand National can change their policies at any time, but it's my policy not to give 5 stars to companies that leave me stranded in the middle of the night. I had a company rental reservation setup for me, but the employees here wouldn't let me pick up the car because my company email wasn't verified. I can't check work email from personal devices. When I offered that they could email a colleague who had a work device accessible they didn't allow that either. I showed online that I am in fact employed there but they didn't accept that. They also refused to email me a code so I could verify for future pickups. It's probably better anyways so they can't spam my work email. The employees were a bit curt to me, as if I'm supposed to memorize the ever changing policies of 100s of companies. I don't recommend this location. Before I get a generic response from the owner, if you want to make things right you can offer to reimburse me for my Uber trips as well as my time wasted.

National is so easy to deal with compared to other companies. No standing in line when you join and become an Emerald member. Walk up and pick a car after you have made your online reservation. So slick and simple. I recommend National to everyone I speak with. Not always the cheapest but definitely the easiest to deal with.

I rented a vehicle at LAX from National. I had a very positive customer experience by getting great help for finding the best car for my family vacation. Special thanks to Eddy, Christina, Elizabeth and David for their help and efforts to make my summer unforgettable!
