Appreciation of nature and natural history.
The mission of the Nature Discovery Center is to develop awareness and appreciation of the natural world and the environment through the Museum's hands-on and interactive collections, trails, and educational programs. The collections include, rocks, minerals, fluorescent minerals, fossils, sea life, insects, Indian artifacts, mounted birds and mammals, and plants. There are also interpretive exhibits, hands-on activities, and nature trails for all ages and families to enjoy.The Nature Discovery Center is a federally registered non-profit organization. There are changes to at least two exhibits annually. The Nature Center is family oriented.
Open for the season at noon on May 19, 2019. Also open by appointment for a minimum of 6 people. Call 603-746-6121 for an appointment.
