Dr. Gray in urgent care is beyond amazing. She listens and never belittles you or makes you feel less than. I can't say the same for certain nurses, though. Some take that mean girl high school mentality and turn it into a career.
I really do like the Naval Hospital, they have always been good to my family and very helpful. The family practice for us has been spot on for 40 years. I like the views and the comfort of the waiting rooms. I know that some think the wait is long for many things but if you consider the number of people they see it is really not bad. Coming on Saturday for pharmacy is really your best bet, lobby opens at 7:30 and windows open at 8:00. The parking is very good and they have great customer service. Just think if you don't like the provider and they are Military they will transfer soon.
Had a good expirence here with the Doctors. They were professional and easy to talk to. Made recieving refills for myself and my children smooth and comfortable. Front desk receptionist was very kind, happy and helpful.
This is not a hospital, this is more of a care center. I left in 2015 and the care was amazing and the hospital never skipped a beat... Now with less people customer service has dropped and wait times have increased. Urgent care says they are open till 2000, wife showed up a few minutes after 1800 and was told she could not be seen... What is the hospital for if my family and I can't be seen during operational hours. This seems like a failure in leadership.
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Especially if you have a history of mental health symptoms. I know doctors blaming symptoms on their patient's mental health is a common thing, but I had never once experienced it until I went to this hospital. Was told that my stomach swelling, painfully bloating, and being so unbelievably fatigued to the point I didn't think I'd wake up one day, is what "anxiety and insomnia feel like" as if I don't know what my own mental health symptoms feel like despite having them since childhood. Anyway turns out the bloating and swelling was me suddenly being lactose intolerant, and the extremely abnormal exhaustion was due to untreated Hashimotos Disease sure as hell didn't get that diagnosis here though- found a new doctor.
My wife had our first kid here. Had two kids since. This was the best place to have a kid.
I’ve been to this urgent care for myself when I had a kidney infection and was treated well. I didn’t have to wait longer than expected to be seen or get diagnosed, considering I didn’t have an appointment. The wait at the pharmacy however, was way way too long. I ended up leaving and going back downstairs to ask them to please send my prescription to the pharmacy by my house. I am grateful for the walk-in hours, especially since they’re open on weekends too. However, the pharmacy is worse than waiting at the DMV, which is very annoying when you have an impatient toddler with you.
When my wife broke a bone, she knew exactly where she wanted to go; because the urgent care here is quick, and the doctors and nurses are caring. We went to urgent care at 9:30am on a Saturday of course, check current hours before you go, and there was no line, but quick processing and an immediate x-ray. Thank you to the professional staff.
My providers: Mary Miller and Mr. Davis are amazing. I did have a bit of a hard time with one of the nurses when I went for mental health and she got all religious on me but Mary was very supportive and even helped me through the panic attack that followed. Both of my providers shared their long history of experience in the medical field and I feel very safe in their hands. My son's providers Standaert and Crezensi sp are also wonderful and very experienced and Crezensi has contributed a lot to the inclusion of autistic people and the education of others about autism. Apart from that one nurse, all my other nurses and clinicians have been helpful and kind. All of our referrals have been submitted in a timely manner. I'm excited that we've got some good people on our side at this location. And what a location, the views from the waiting rooms are breath taking if you are into lakes and forests and mountains, which I am. Also, if you needing specialty care, don't hesitate to ask for a referral down to the Army Hospital at Tacoma, they have over 50 specialty clinics in their medical mall that we have access to as well. So four stars because of that one nurse, but other than that our experience has been good.
Honestly one of the worst pharmacy wait times I've ever seen. Even the phone lines take hours to get a person on the line. Thought the new texting service would be good, but there's no actual option for using the script center.
