Place is awesome! Boys from 11 to 17 loved it, 17 year old even posted pictures on Instagram saying super cool Place. Lots to explore spent about 2.5 hours exploring. Not your typical hiking trail
BEST hiking spot I've ever been to. Unbelievable views, dangerous drop offs, challenging "hidden" spots you have to crawl through to access, and many opportunities to climb. This will be a place I want to bring people to experience it. I also love that this park has minimal "safety" items and means for "accessibility". It feels like I'm enjoying it as-is. I already want to go back, and i just got home.
A great place to spend the afternoon hiking with friends and family! I’ve been coming here for a kid and have always enjoyed myself. There are a wide variety of trail difficulties. The red trails seemed to be the most challenging with steep and potentially dangerous paths that’s what makes it fun. Dog-friendliness: I’ve seen several families at Nelson Ledges there with their dogs. They seemed to enjoy themselves.
Gorgeous park to explore! Trails tend to be a bit difficult in areas but are color coded. The ledges do drop off so be wary of small children. Stunning views all around here!
I've been going here since I was a teenager and now take my three kids under 8 years with me. One is a baby still and it's the best quality time we have as a family to be honest. Have to be careful and stay together. It can be very dangerous, but it's beautiful and a learning experience. Who thought nature could be great for kids?! :
Unique state park with fascinating giant boulder formations. Small overall, but easy to navigate. Squeezing through some of the marked canyons on the red trails was exciting and made the hike feel unexpectedly adventurous. Always amazed by how cool and refreshing it is to be around underground water sources
Nice park. They even labeled the difficulty of each trail with color ranks. Met a few friendly people on our visit and even a few nice doggos. They are bathrooms no sanitizer next to the parking lot which is a nice size parking area. The park hugs private property which is POORLY labeled and not for nothing.. they is VERY old barbed wire that's still up along majority of the trails. You can see the wire is old and not up with the intention of having a purpose. I believe it should be removed because it has ZERO purpose and a wild animal, child, dog or adult for that matter could be badly hurt by the useless, rusted barbed wire. Great park either way.
Really nice trails with decent trail markings. There is a wide variety in the difficulty of the trails so there is a trail for everyone! The scenery at Nelson Ledges is also amazing!
This place is magical, fun trails climbing over rocks , not an easy walk, did about 2 miles I think, various trails that crossover each other
It's still a wonderfu and magnificent place to enjoy some nature. Plenty of parking and lots of room.
