The room had a nice view, pool was refreshing and the beds clean and comfortable. The bathrooms we clean, plenty of fresh towels and the fridge and microwave worked fine. Staff were helpful and friendly for the price you can't beat it! Location great like three minutes from the beach! Yes it's not a 5 star hotel and it's a bit rundown, but a little paint and some TLC could go far. However it is what it is. Great for a short stay can't beat the price.
Should be NO STARS! Worst experience I have ever had at a hotel or on a trip with children. Where to begin.......First appearance upon pulling in and it was night time felt dark and trashy, hardly any lighting in the parking lot. The office is hardly noticeable and its basically connected to a Mexican restaurant. No automatic doors so unloading two kids and an an adult with NO CARTS and NO OFFERED help was more than inconvenient. Elevator, the size was insanely small and it was sketchy, the only one I believe for the entire hotel. Beach view.....NOT AT ALL. Sign at front desk reads "Sorry for the inconvenience but we no longer offer breakfast" and then another says "We currently don't have a functioning pool." The rooms. Light switch upon entering controls the electricity for the entire half of the room. TV, Fridge, Microwave ,and lights so the room died every time we hit it. Light bulbs out in the bathroom. Curtains basically falling down. Ceiling peeling and stained. Mattress was literally brown on corners and pinkold as dirt and warn out, just falling apart. The other has white crusty stuff on it. Bug larvae under my pillow. Needless to say, I had to pack up two kids around 2 am, haul the 5 trips up and down since there were no carts, cry in my car because now I needed to find somewhere else and I was exhausted and my daughter had competition the next day! Lady at front thankfully didn't argue with me or try to move our room. She fully refunded me but of course this process took days to clear and I had to book another hotel so all week my funds were tied up and therefore we couldn't enjoy our trip. This hotel should be shut down. The saddest thing is how many little children were there with there families and unknowingly slept in filth. Also, the best western plus, which is oceanfront cost less than this is run down place. We could see that the very next night, the room we were in at the Neptune was already rented out to someone else.......that room should have been condemned!
They let me check in an hour early but the room wasn't ready yet. The cleaning lady kindly let us drop off our bags so we could explore while we waited. The staff was friendly/helpful all around. The view was great from the balcony. We were within ear shot of a small concert that was going on across the street that was awesome. The view from the pool on the roof was even better.
I booked the hotel for Memorial Day Weekend two months ahead. And when I went there to check in the lady owner said we are overbooked, there should be email about it but there was nothing. But somehow she managed it. The room was okay but air conditioner was not cooling the room properly, bathroom was dirty , locker was dusty. Their elevator stinks and sand everywhere. Owners is one woman show, didn't seem like concerned about the hygiene of the hotel. Wifi doesn't work inside the room, I had to go to the lobby to use my laptop. Overall horrible. Don't fall for the cheap price, it's no worth It
Okay yuck. First, they have an amazing rooftop pool that you cannot use. Second the door is sketchy to say the least. Every time we left the room I was paranoid someone was going to steal our stuff because the door jam was just a hole in the door frame. The entire place has a terrible smell. Elevator didn’t work one of the times we tried to use it. Had to lug 3 kids and our beach stuff up 4 floors. Never gave us enough towels for the amount of people in the room. Ended up sharing towels with my kids. Nasty stain on one of the blankets. Air conditioner is basically non existent. Bathroom is about the size of an outhouse. Toilet handle gets stuck so after you flush you have to pull it back up. Halls are disgustingly dirty. There was garbage under the bed from the previous guests. No breakfast. It’s about 5000 degrees in the elevator and it smells like piss. **IF YOU STILL DECIDE TO STAY HERE TAKE NOTE THE SHOWER/SINK WATER GETS EXTREMELY HOT!!!! Pretty much burnt my fingertips off. Basically you get what you pay for. Throw in a little extra cash and get a real room.
What more can you ask for. I gave 3 stars because it's just across the street from the beach. Easily accessible to shops and restaurants as well. However, the rooms are very dated, the elevator reeked of urine smell, there were holes in the walls in the room and some seemed to be intentionally cut, the paint is badly coming off the walls, it's a bit dirty in the walk ways to the room, the carpets have to many dirty spots, it's not well lit, the pool is no longer accessible sign posted at front desk and they no longer serve breakfast sign posted at front desk. The beds were clean and comfy and the bathroom was clean but extremely small. There are balconies from each room so the view of the beach was awesome. Parking is also sufficient and good. In our room there was a ball of pet hair left on the floor by the bed, the big lamp did not work and the base was really rusted. If you need the room for 1 or 2 nights just to sleep, go for it, but if you're looking for a longer stay then . Note: these are all views from the 3rd floor balcony of the room we rented. Oh and our room key had a hard time working on check out day before check out time.
You get what you pay for with this place for sure. It had a great view of the ocean from the balcony and it was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do which was great. The room was a little outdated in their defense you can tell they were in the process of fixing stuff up, but when we checked in there was a lot of unfinished work, including an outlet not attached to the wall, incomplete drywall, and peeling paint in the bathroom. Some of the staff was wonderful, and attentive while other staff, well not so much. My husband and I asked for an extra pillow the very first night we checked in. We were told we would have it brought to our room. By our 3rd and final night, we still never got the pillow despite asking on multiple occasions. I also asked a desk clerk about the safe in our room it was lacking a key so I wasn't sure how it was supposed to work. I was told that if it doesn't have a key, it couldn't be used. I asked what I should do with my valuables while I was out of the room jokingly asking if I should put them in my car and she told me in all seriousness that if that's what I felt was the safest place for them, then yes, leave my stuff in my car! That one threw me off a little bit. Overall it was a decent place to lay our heads at night after spending the day out and about, but next time we will splurge a little for the extra comforts offered by other beachfront areas.
I stayed here June 3rd & The location of this motel is great, and that's about where the positives stop. Upon arriving on time to check in, we were told that they didn't have any clean rooms available. We waited for about an hour while the line of people waiting behind us grew. The girl at the front desk was new, so I won't fault her for not knowing what she was doing...but she told us "If I could refer you to a different hotel, I would. I wouldn't stay here..." The other woman appeared to have her kid behind the desk, which definitely wasn't helping move things along cute kid, though! Now, if that had been the worst part of our stay I could have let it slide and given that place a chance... The lock on our door was broken and we had slam the door shut to get it to close all the way. Same issue with the bathroom door! The paint on the bathroom ceiling was peeling, the tile was stained on the floor in the tub, and the common areas where disheveled and really sketchy looking. I'm giving this place 2 stars only because the towels/bedding/carpet were clean and the location was great there's a burrito place right out the front door!...but the customer services was awful and the property itself seems to be falling into disrepair.
Horrible experience!!! The bathroom could fit half a person, the toilet clogged, the front desk service was terrible, the elevator was small, had no AC and was shaky, the breakfast wasn't any good, the pool wasn't nice, all of the doors were squeaky and the hair dryer stank. Also when the microwave was used the TV shut down and vice versa very cheap. The housekeeper was lazy and didn't want to change our sheets or clean at all. I hated the staff! They were so rude and argumentative. It was as if they all hated their jobs! Even the manager and supervisor were rude. The only good thing was that the hotel was close to the beach and the beds were comfortable. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone! Please...add a few bucks, and get a decent hotel. Oh yeah and the hotel itself looks so much worse than the promotion pictures!
This hotel is the WORST i have EVER STAYED AT. $100 rip off!!!! The Pictures show a nice hotel, its everything but. the stairs are crumbling and broken, the elevator can be heard a hundred yards away, the walkway outside of the rooms is covered in bird poop, and it doesn't look like any one has tried to clean it. The hotel is so rundown and dirty, i cant believe that it is ran as a hotel it should be condemned. i questioned my safety before i even got to my room. once i got to it i was sure i wasn't staying long. the paint on the room door was peeling off, and the door had an inch of slack in it, It was clear that IT HAD BEEN PRIED OPEN AND BROKEN INTO IN THE PAST. when i asked the front desk they said that it still locks so its not an issue, i wasn't convinced. the room it self smelled like wet dog, mold and cigarettes, despite that it was a non smoking room, it had the same carpet from 1970, mold all around the floor boards that was just covered up by rubber flashing. I felt that if i took a shower i would come out dirtier than i was before i went in, it doesn't seem like the management, although she was patient of the matter had no interest in righting any wrongs. Seems like an establishment that is just trying to maximize their profit without putting anything into the building. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE i wouldn't recommend prisoners to stay at this hotel, the accommodations are that bad. trust all of these reviews they are 100% true! If your looking for a nice cheap hotel, in the same area try Oceans 2700 they saved me and flipped my whole stay to a good one.
