New Balance Factory Store

Great spot and fantastic deals on everything from footwear to fresh gear!

Usually I come here, I’m greeted by young, pleasant employees. Today, “Michelle” or “Melinda” was at the register. Older looking, blonde lady who seemed unhappy with life. I asked if I could use my student discount in the store. She gave me an annoyed look asking “uh what kind of student?” I replied “a college student”. She then responded with attitude “we don’t do that here”…. Weird because this is the 5th time I’ve come here to buy shoes for clinical and I’ve always had no problem using my student discount in person. When I said I would order them online she then said “WELL, this is cheap anyways,” $113 BUT overall, I was fine with that. I have no problem ordering online and waiting for it to be shipped at home for free. The reason I gave it 1 star was customer interaction. All of us locals know that New Balance is a well-respected , very reputable training brand born in Lawrence, MA. You’d think they’d hire people with more compassion to represent what the brand once was. I would’ve paid for the shoes full price, but the fact I had such a terrible experience, it was a huge turn off. I can’t imagine how she treats other customers coming in who may need help or have questions. Will not recommend the location to others anymore when they ask where I buy my kids and my own New Balances. UPDATE: they no longer offer student discounts online, still ok. I work at a hospital. I still get a discount online. :

This is a place which I visited several times. This time I went to get some sneakers. The parking lot is across the street from the store. This is not readily noticed. The store is readily visible and it is quite large in size with many divers items above and beyond sneakers for purchase. The customer service up front is very good but there are relapses The further away you get from the front. The choice of items is large. The cost is reasonable. The check out is done very well. The layout is very attractive and very well done. I would certainly recommend it as a place to buy athletic clothing and related items.

I used to love new balance. Today it was vey bad customer service experience. Be cautious you will feel cheated if you go to return or replace. Not sure if that is a company policy or someone who doesn’t care about customer experience. I had bad experience with a person called himself Manager, “Max” , did not listen to me at all and pushed his own policy on me where in another employee had a little sense. The store lost his one customer today forever.

Great place to shop for sport clothing and shoes and do they have a nice stock, I went so my wife could get some sport shoes with more support and walked out with a pair for myself Wow!! No pressure sales associate, and a nice clean and organized shelving system check out are fast and this day it wasn't crowded, check it out when you all have time.

Cool historical shop, great advice from staff of running shoes and models availability, definitely you can run into some good finds there.

They have a huge selection of first-run New Balance products. All if the inventory is out on the floor, so you can quickly try things on yourself. On the flip side, this means it's designed for self service. Other full service retail places will offer a gait analysis and such, but you won't find much of that here. Do your Google research first. Parking is across a busy street and the spaces are small.

Pleasant and enjoyable place to browse through. Beautifully restored mill building now working at the factory store.

For more than a decade I lived a couple of blocks away from the New Balance Factory Store and Headquarters, so for the longest time that was the place I went to for running shoes. Even after I moved, I’d still go back when they had their big yearly sales. That was until I found out that there’s a Factory Store in Lawrence, much closer to me. The size of the store seems to be the same as the one I used to go to and, even on a Black Friday, the store was organized and there were plenty of associates to help everyone. I like how everything is displayed in the store and easy to find. I found my new favorite store.

Would it be so difficult to print your hours of operation!!!! Would like to shop at the Lawrence store but don't know what time they open. the wait time on the phone is 25 minutes. What terrible customer service. After 30 year maybe I'll switch brands.
