I loved this place until today. This is the 2nd time since I began seeing this doctor that they were supposed to telemed me and just never bothered. How hard is it to make a phone call to go over stuff? Apparently pretty hard if you work here.
Absolutely horrible. I’ve called over a hundred times within the span of a week to talk about the off brand birth control they prescribed me. “Vestura” made me bleed for a month straight. As a 17yr with no parental guidance I was really scared. I had no money for the ER and don’t have a family doctor. So when they decide not to answer the phone your best bet is to go in and schedule an appointment WRONG they’re completely booked for two months and in my case of an emergency I wasn’t even allowed to talk to the doctor. “NO WALK INS” was said to me. Then I decide to do what scared teenager with no help and wait it out, for two months, I was all ready to go to the doctor just for the morning of for them to call me and say that my doctor canceled the appointment and we had to reschedule for two months later which was they’re closest time available Not to mention I had another dentist appointment scheduled with them 2 months later of course and with my tooth chipped I went in to see if I could schedule an appointment sooner to no surprise they can’t. And now, today, I’m here at 10 o’clock in the morning with my dentist appointment canceled by the dentist. This place is incredibly unprofessional. Please just spare yourself the trouble and get a real doctor. It’s not worth it to waste your time here. THEY WON’T HELP YOU.
You can NEVER get them to answer the phone. They NEVER return phone calls within 24/48 hours. I called 2 days straight over 11 times and NO ANSWER!! Left messages and NO RETURN CALL. FINALLY ANSWER TODAY AT 412 facility closes at 430...how convenient. I asked them for an ILL APPOINTMENT aka I'm sick and they CAN'T SEE ME UNTIL MONDAY!!!!! FOR AN ILL APPOINTMENT??????? ARE YOU SERIOUS?? So done with this clinic! Maybe if I was Hispanic I could get in quicker...
This has been my Family Health Care Clinic for ten years now. There are so many services for the community including Family Physician, Dental Services, Pharmacy, Mental Health, among other services. During the pandemic they as others and our community. Really short-handed so there has been times when you have to wait for a call back however in a situation like that you have to work together as a community to overcome these problems and that's what I feel most of us did. We are a small town community with small towns surrounding us and we love each other are the Community should. That's why I'm giving them five stars because they work tirelessly to keep our community as healthy as possible giving covid vaccines and testing. They were one of the First physicians around in our area that had testing or the vaccine. They put themselves on the line their health on the line to be in the front lines of this war.
This relates to the dental portion of New Carlisle Community Health Center only. The Good things: They offer a sliding scale based upon income for the uninsured and offer a payment plan. Both of these are appreciated. I received an excellent teeth scaling by the hygienist. The Bad things: I went in to get 2 teeth pulled. The dentist could not numb the area adequately and refused to pull the teeth I had to go to an oral surgeon. I had to go elsewhere for some means to restore the missing teeth. 3 different times I requested that the digital x rays be emailed to OSU Graduate Dental Program, was assured it would be done, and it never was. I also had 2 buccal caries cavities that could not have been missed in the exam that were never mentioned. For the exam, x rays, and scaling, I owe them about $400, that being only 40% of the total that would be charged. I've had to go to an oral surgeon to pull these two teeth about $300, and have to go to a 3rd place for 2 fillings possibly one of them to be extracted and have a partial denture made.another $1650. I am so displeased that I would NOT recommend anyone go for dental treatment beyond a cleaning. They received the 2 stars for the hygienist.
