New College was formed on July 1, 2009, under the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies at York University, as the newest of 9 colleges within the institution.

New College Council or "NCC", provides a community within the college with its main goal being to create meaningful opportunities to ensure your academic achievement and personal success.
Our executive team is comprised of a diverse group of students who, in the past, have advocated for student’s rights, lead academic based clubs and volunteered in various roles.
We have created a model that exhibits our core principles and is at the forefront of our minds when we make any decisions on behalf of New College Students. This set of principles is crucial in New College history as they were founded on the year 2009/10 in order to secure our college success.
