I absolutely love it here! My family and I have been attending since 2016. The sermons are broken down in a way that can be understood. There is a huge community of God's people sharing the word and his love!
I reached out to Bridge Ministries to check with them about a few items I needed to pass on l. I thought they could distribute to some clients that could use to make their lives a little better. My contact person is Ashley there in the Bridge Ministry office. Ashley was able to meet me curbside to receive the donations as I have extreme difficulty walking. Thank you Bridge Ministries and New Hope Worship Center for what you do for our community. Also for helping and recognizing those experiencing hardships in their lives. "Well done faithful servants".
Came to Augusta on TDY. Not wanting to miss a chance to worship, I searched for a church that "felt like home". This church from the moment I walked in has been much like my church back home. Everyone has been so welcoming, friendly and inclusive. I attended both the 9am and 1115am services. Great music and great people. Wonderful sermon, and the on top was 14 BAPTISMS! Praise God. I know my family and I will be visiting this area a lot, and this will be our Church home away from home.
Pastor Reagan gave a wonderful sermon about relationships today. It was on point, followed a good outline & had lots of wisdom backed up by Scripture. It was a teaching that everyone needs to hear these days
Moved from Maryland in November 2020 and didn't think I could find a church close to what I was leaving. NHWC was very warm and inviting. Mixed congregation which is important. Music is great along with the people. I recently joined this church in April 2021. Pastor Reagan and Joy are great leaders and knows how to teach the word of God. So glad God led me here.
I went there with a friend Friday for their Food Pantry & they were SO nice! The sweetest lady prayed with me which meant the world! & then they filled a grocery cart with much needed food & necessities. They are so giving, kind, extremely generous and 100% genuine. Just what this area needs. Their Christian goal is to be of service to others without wanting or expecting anything in return. Well, my hat's off to them with a HUGE THANK YOU!!! & A WHOLE LOT OF GRATITUDE!!!
I love that the church is very diverse and modern. However, Pastor Rich is very dated and biased on Fox News. He is seemingly a staunch republican but he does not need to voice his political views while on the pulpit. Members of the congregation have a variety of backgrounds and political views but they come to church to hear the gospel of Jesus. Period! In another sermon, Pastor Rich stressed that Christopher Columbus was sent by God to help save our country from barbarians and sin. The fact is that Columbus murdered indigenous persons and owned slaves when he stumbled upon this country. For a man of God to skew history to fit his politically and culturally biased views is really outrageous and irresponsible. I've heard one too many sermons where two different preachers call Africans god-less and barbaric and that they have to go to "Africa" to save them. I know there are a few Africans in the congregation and wonder how they feel when they hear such drivel. Africans nations have Muslims and Christians just like Americans. This church members are diverse and lovely and most of the time the pastors messages are fulfilling and wonderful. I wish they would think before making controversial and outrageously biased comments. Thank you.
They have an extensive children’s ministry that the members of my family adored. However in the main service a politicalized sermon was given. The sermon was full of Republican rhetoric with a small side of Gods word, but that’s a great fit for someone.
Friendly, welcoming, sincere church. Hospitality is genuine: free coffee bar, nursing room, child care and children's church. Comfortable seats, calm, soothing, inviting atmosphere. Good preaching and worshipping God. Penticostal church.
One if the best churches I have been to in awhile. I felt very welcome. They are a very diverse church. They preach from the bible and it is easy to focus on God. It is a beautiful place to worship.
