The New Ipswich Town Pool provides a safe and fun environment for swimmers of all ages!!!
The New Ipswich Town Pool offers numerous services. Throughout the summer there are three different sessions of swim lessons. Each session is two weeks long, Monday through Friday, with classes running half an hour. Parents/guardians can choose between AM and PM classes. AM classes are a half hour block between 8:50-11:20, PM classes are a half hour block between 4:30-6:30. Registration for each session ends the Friday before classes begin and class times will be posted the Saturday before classes begin on the bulletin board outside the pool house.
The New Ipswich Town Pool has it's own swim team!!! The New Ipswich Breakers are divided into two age groups; 11 and under, and 12 and over. Practices run Monday through Friday; 11:30-12:30 for the 11 and unders; 12:00-1:00 for the 12 and overs. Meets are scheduled throughout the summer.
Adult lap swim is offered between 1:00-1:30 and 4:00-4:30, Monday through Friday. Adults are considered those over 18 years of age.
Open swim is a great time to relax, play, and cool off during the summer. Open swim runs Monday through Friday from 1:30-4:00 with a 15 minute break at 2:45. Tuesday and Thursday evenings the pool is open from 6:30-8:00 for open swim as well. Saturdays open swim runs from 12:00-4:00 with a 15 minute break at 1:45. During break times we ask that all children exit the pool deck and the pool house. Adults may stay on the pool deck but may not swim at this time.
All of the activities mentioned above are weather permitting. At the first sound of thunder or the sighting of lightening, whichever comes first, the pool and the pool deck will be cleared for 30 minutes. The pool will reopen when there has ceased to be any thunder or lightening for 30 minutes straight. If the weather forecast is daunting then the pool close for the day. We will record a message on the answering machine and it will be posted on Facebook if we close for any activity. Please remember we have your safety in mind.
