New Leash on Life is dedicated to improving the welfare of companion animals in our community through shelter, placement, spay/neuter, education and awareness.
Our goals include the following:
To educate the public about the importance of having their pets spayed or neutered, and to provide low or no cost surgeries for those in need; To shelter and provide care for stray, abused, or relinquished animal; To educate the general population about the seriousness of pet overpopulation; To end euthanasia as a means of controlling pet overpopulation; To find good homes for the animals in our care.
Our hope for the future is that there will be no unwanted, unloved or abandoned companion animal.
ADOPTION CENTER:
the longest standing operation of NLOL. Last year we were able to touch the lives of over 1,300 companion animals that, through no choice or fault of their own, were handed over or relinquished to our care.
THE JOY Clinic
opened in August of 2017 and serves all dogs and cats in need of spay or neuter services. An appointment is required. At the time of surgery, vaccinations are available. Pricing varies. Surgery prices range from $35-$65 with some assistance for qualifying pet owners.
If you are interested in helping to get feral cats (free roaming cats) to our facility for spay or neuter (TNR program), please let us know. We are looking for volunteers to help trap and transport feral cats (community/free roaming cats) Interested in helping? Please call 615-281-0664 or email [email protected]
