A really nice museum showcasing art of the Southwest. The space had a really nice "flow" throughout. The building that houses the collection is in itself art. A beautiful nod to the architecture of New Mexico. I would recommend to anyone to visit. The collection, in my opinion, is just big enough. I've been to other museums around the world and sometimes they can become exhaustive with their overwhelming size. This museum is just right and can totally be covered in less than 2 hours. I completely enjoyed my time spent there and hope for the day I might return. Also, I picked up an awesome Desserts of Santa Fe Cookbook in their gift shop. I love it.
I love it! It’s small but it has great exhibitions and the building and it’s courtyard are amazing. I really appreciate that they really care about audience engagement, there were several stations with activities connected to the exhibitions as well as descriptions of several used art techniques.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
This is a great little museum with a nice variety of work on display. Seeing a landscape by Georgia OKeefe and new Ansel Adams acquisitions was a pleasant surprise. The architecture of the building is fantastic and the artwork fits so well with it. Definitely check out both levels and outdoor spaces.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$11–15
The art style in many of the featured pieces is bright and bold and hard to find in other exhibits! The Native American art made me emotional with its tales of hardships and triumphs and survival. The museum itself is in a architecturally beautiful building. Glad I was able to see this museum in personVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$11–15
Such a beautiful museum! The bottom floor really blew me away with how many emotions the art evoked. Definitely worth a visit, save the bottom floor for last!
Well worth the stop. Parking is pretty easy nearby. Admission is well worth it. Seeing New Mexican art by locals and transplants from the turn of the 20th century to current day. It’s an amazingly well-curated place. The building itself is beautiful inside and out with some sculptures also on display. There are elevators available as well as stools to borrow. Benches throughout if you want to take a seat.
Cool and beautiful murals and paintings of Native American culture and American culture in general. Architecture of the building and gift shop items are cool too.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10

We went specifically to see the Ansel Adams exhibit and were disappointed with the number of his pictures on display. It was a beautiful spring day so I took a couple of pictures of the museum exterior.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
We took the guided docent tour with “Suzanne”. We learned so much about the building and collection that we would have missed. It’s an amazing museum. It’s as much history as art, and gives context for what you will see in the other local museums and galleries. If you only have time for one museum, go here.
