We teach traditional Chinese martial arts since 1985 - teaching Northern Longfist, Praying Mantis, Tai Chi, Pa Kua, Hsing-I.
Our kung fu classes are instructed in the traditional manner of Chinese martial arts, the 5 styles that we teach are taught in separate classes, each having it's own charateristics. Starting with he basic stances that leads into developing striking power in all techniques. Coordinating hand and arm movements for unlimited hand striking, an array of kicks ranging from low to high to the high aerial kicks also includes throwing and grappling techniques to give you the option to use what works for you. All in all developing complete athletic ability and confidence, able to adopt to any situation that arises from a friendly game of volleyball to defending oneself.
Our self defense classes are structured to develop energy, power and confidence in oneself, once done anyone can defend themselves. We start by teaching the correct techniques for punching and kicking including the use of the elbows, knees and head butting when in a pinch and speaking about a pinch they are also effective in certain situations to create openings for other techniques or means of escape. The techniques in our self-defense classes are extracted from our traditional kung fu forms which are still very effective today. If once a students confidence starts to elevate and they desire to achive and advance to a different level they can make a smooth transtition into the traditional kung fu classes without skipping a beat. In self-defense there is only one rule and that is to protect yourself and loved ones.
In our complete figthing class we cover traditional kung fu fighting techniques in punching and kicking, traditional boxing, throwing and grappling. All of our instructors have studied and achieved black sash within the academy. The instructors having a strong desire for all type of fighting techniques have cross trained with qualified instructors.
