Mission Statement
The New Smyrna Beach High School Barracuda Band is dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and challenging learning environment for every band member. Through preparation and performance of the highest quality musical literature, we seek to develop in each student the qualities of Maturity, Unity, Sound, Integrity, and Class (MUSIC) and to provide entertainment and education to the community that supports us. The experience, skill, and discipline our students gain through overcoming personal and shared challenges develop a foundation of artistic appreciation and mutual respect that will serve them well beyond their high school careers as contributing members of society.
