Founded in 1998 to develop and promote The Benton Harbor Arts District, the NTAA has been responsible for many special district events including Artoberfest, the annual Arts District Banner Projects, The Fall Festival of the Arts, the NTAA Mural Project, and the Benton Harbor City Market.
The New Territory Arts Association Scholarship Fund provides assistance with art education for community youth by helping with tuition for classes at The Citadel Dance Center, Water Street Glasswork's "Fired Up!" program, and other regional art education curricula. The NTAA also sponsors The Benton Harbor Children's Art Fair and other area arts related programs.
