Resale Shop with proceeds advancing Christian education in 4 Chicago area schools
Located on the corner of Roosevelt Road and 17th Avenue in Broadview (western suburb of Chicago), Illinois, New To You opened its doors on June 14, 2003 as a means of helping to support Christian education.
Providing for affordable Christan education is an ongoing challenge. One creative solution was the concept of a resale or thrift store through which four schools would work cooperatively in a united witness to Christian community and the transforming power of Christian education, sharing in the revenues gained through resale store sales.
All proceeds from the store are exclusively used for the advancement of Christian education in the following schools:
Chicago Westside Christian School
Daystar School
Humboldt Community Christian School
Timothy Christian Schools
All merchandise is donated. With the exception of the manager, all workers are volunteers.
The store offers a wide variety of new and used items, including, but not limited to, antiques and other collectibles, books, boutique items, clothing, electronics, furniture, housewares, jewelry, music and videos, shoes, small appliances, sporting goods, and toys.
