The New York Film Academy (NYFA) offers degree, 1 & 2 year conservatory programs, short-term workshops, and youth camps in a variety of visual storytelling, visual arts, and performing arts disciplines. Those disciplines may include: Filmmaking, Acting for Film, Producing, Photography, Screenwriting, Cinematography, Documentary Filmmaking, Game Design, 3D Animation & VFX, Musical Theatre, Broadcast Journalism, Graphic Design, Virtual Reality, Music Video and Digital Editing.

NYFA has always followed the philosophy of "learning by doing", in hands-on classes taught by dynamic, industry accomplished and passionate instructors.

Students from all backgrounds, walks of life, and nations, foster a nurturing and challenging, creative environment that promotes collaboration. NYFA propagates visual literacy and visual storytelling through hands-on intensive learning. It seeks to make visual storytelling education accessible to the most diverse, international, and broadest possible spectrum of students, and to hone the skills of future professionals so that they may one day serve the visual storytelling arts as industry leaders.
