MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the New York Film Academy Library is to provide access to information resources to all New York Film Academy students, faculty, and staff in support of the research and instructional mission of the school. The library makes resources available in various forms to support the curriculum with emphasis on acting, film, and media studies. The New York Film Academy Library strives to enhance learning by developing, organizing, and preserving collections for optimal use. The library provides instruction for information literacy and information instruction, as well as references services, to enable its users to fulfill their academic, vocational, and intellectual pursuits.
COLLECTION
The NYFA Library strives to provide information resources that support all areas of curriculum at the college, with particular emphases placed on filmmaking, screenwriting, and acting. The library houses an extensive collection of DVD’s, including the Criterion Collection, consisting of the preeminent films from across the globe, screenplays, books on acting screenwriting producing, the filmmaking process, cinematic history, and biographies that are available for circulation. In addition, the collection includes industry directories and reference materials that are available for use within the library.
