I'm searching for a new gym right now. The equipment in this gym is old and broken. The equipment has caused injuries to several people. The machinery has been malfunctioning for months. To address these problems, management has done little to nothing. The roof constantly leaks. I haven't noticed the wave of 2023 resolutioners that you would expect to see at the gym at the beginning of the year. Surely this gym is on the verge of closing. The front desk and cleaning staff are great.
I don't normally do this, but I believe it will help or at the very least raise awareness. I am currently a member of NYSC in Garden City, where I have been for quite some time. And let me tell you, the gym is filthy, it should be closed down at this rate, they are charging maintenance fees with no maintenance. - The women's bathroom is always disgustingly dirty, there is always water on the floor, there is only one soap dispenser and one hand dryer, and there is no towel to dry your hands as an option. When you get to the basement, there is always water leaking from the ceiling somewhere, they have buckets all over the place collecting water, and I even saw a plastic bag once. The equipment is old and out of date. They have two squatting racks, one of which has been out of commission for over 6 months. It has no a safety handle. Several members have brought this to the manager's attention. She would take down the bar and put up a sign, then take it down a week later and members would have to use it at their own expense. The establishment requires extensive renovations as well as new management. I can think of more than nine people right now, including myself  gym shopping. It's heartbreaking. I hope this review is useful to anyone considering joining. Please do not do so.
Not a lot of gym equipment. A lot of machines are broken and/or old. Staff is nice, but there is always huge leaks everywhere. For example, when I am at the squat rack, water is dripping from the ceiling onto my head. This gym is practically ripping at the seams.
The gym is usually not crowded and you get the equipments whenever you want. The only downside is the limited working hours.
They got the best water filtration system in the world downstairs and it hasn’t worked in over a year, most of the equipment is damaged or missing pieces. But then again, you get what pay for smh
Steam room has been broken for over a month. Hours has been cut back on weekend to close at 5 pm. all other gyms In The area have much better hours. This gym is going downhill fast. Many friends never bothered to come back after pandemic. Old machines. Gloomy atmosphere. Just depressing to work out there. It almost like walking into a sad outdated factory Yike .
The gym is clean and well kept and in an awesome location. The members are decent and everyone works together to share the equipment. All employees are courteous and helpful. Management is awesome. I highly recommend this gym.
I enjoy working out at NYSC in Garden City. I give it a 10. Has everything I need and more. To date, I always had a good work out. It’s clean, nice people and located in the heart of Garden City.
Great gym! Clean and modern equipment, friendly staff, fun classes, and plenty of parking.
I love this gym location. The gym is very clean and has very good quality machines. The area is also excellent. A lot of cafes and restaurants. Also a big parking space.
