I wish I had better things to say about this facility and it's management, Unfortunately, I find that this gym cares more about their sales and money rather than its members.I find it rather ridiculous that money was taken from my account for months of a facility being closed with no communication or compensation. Will be going to the business better bureau since they've decided to end communication with it's members. avoid this gym at all costs if it decides to open up. not worth the hassle.
If I could give this gym 0 stars I would. If you’re thinking of trying this gym, don’t. I have been a member for a year and they kept raising my rates after they told me I would be locked into one monthly rate. I was recently charged my annual fee and a ridiculously high monthly fee, so I went in to cancel my membership. They then charged me a $10 cancellation fee and I will be charged again next month because of their “45 day cancellation policy”. They’re basically stealing money from me, I’m out over $150 from this. The management and company policies are completely twisted. I am extremely furious with how much money they’re are taking from me and I will be calling corporate as well as making sure that nobody I know goes here. On top of all this, the main reason I joined this gym was for the basketball court and almost every time I would show up they would kick me out for kids soccer practice. Also, my sister came in to try out the gym and payed $5, being told she would be refunded the money if she cancelled within the 10 days. She called within the 10 days to cancel and she was charged with over $100 worth of membership fees. This place is absolutely awful and filled with crooks. I’ve never been this passionate about wanting a company to go out of business. Please don’t waste your time and money at this toilet of a gym.
Having my kids members at this gym has been a nightmare! There has been nothing but issues regarding billing since the inception of their memberships. Examples of this include automatic increases in monthly dues without notification, not appropriately freezing memberships when requested, not removing my credit card from accounts when specifically requested, and their lack of follow through regarding any of my concerns. Additionally, their cancellation protocols are ridiculous and the hoops they have you jump through to cancel is amazing. Informed today that it is typical that after you cancel your membership it takes 45 days and you get billed $10 a month until that time. There is no consistent, knowledgeable, customer oriented leadership of the facility. When calling to rectify all of their poor billing practices its the "soup of the day" as to who is available to help. And, even that help is marginal. What a huge disappointment for a neighborhood gym. Never again.
Stay away from this company. I have been a member of various Gyms through out my life and not once have i encountered such a fraudulent company. I went in person and signed a cancellation from on November 2, 2019 and as of February 2020 they still were deducting my membership fees. I finally decided that I had had enough and cancelled my credit card in order to avoid further charges from this company and yet they still keep billing me. In addition to this cancellation nightmare originally when my rates were raised the first year they promised that they would not raised them again the year after which they did anyways. They constantly lie and cheat.
Absolutely horrendous. Trying to cancel has been a nightmare. Can’t do on app and won’t allow you to cancel over phone. Keep getting random charges. Then last month $59.99 annual fee. Monthly went up to 39.99. Went in today to cancel. Then got slammed with another months charge tonight plus $10 cancellation fee. I called and they told me they charged me today for next month. Said they won’t allow immediate cancellation and I am required to pay forward next months. Reason for cancellation is I moved to Florida. I am up here this week to wrap up a few things. But now forced to pay forward next month for a membership I can’t use. SCAM. If you’re going to join a gym Join planet fitness. $10 a month. Opening up a new one on lake grove and they are countrywide. No hidden gimmicks and fees.
I have been a member with a passport membership for 3 plus yrs. In the past 9 months the ladies locker room has become unacceptable. A new maintenance worker started and she does not disinfect the showers daily, vacuum the carpet, or wipe out the inside of the lockers. she spends a good part of her day in the utility closet on her cell phone I have taken pics of the debris and brought it to the attention of management I also called the maintenance co. Direct I have not seen any changes the locker room continues to decline. I expect a clean well kept space to get ready after my workout. I pay 69.99 per moth for a passport I am at my wits end I hope corporate can make a change soon or I'm out.
