Marty and Abigail from Newcomer were incredibly understanding and helpful as we planned the celebration for my grandfather’s life. On the day of, Marty and Abigail were a constant source of comfort, calm and assistance with any needs of our family. My mom said Newcomer made this entire experience smoother than our last experience with a different funeral home, bridging any gaps and concerns we had. We received so many compliments on the planning of the service, and Marty and Abigail are responsible for all of that. We would give them more than 5 stars if possible! We could not be more thankful for the services provided by the Newcomer staff.
We had both our parent’s funeral services with Newcomer. Let me just tell you, don’t look anywhere else. They are amazing! From the moment you sit down to go through setting up the service to the last detail after everything is over our family couldn’t be more pleased with their facilities, their pricing but most importantly their staff! There are so many to name but especially Marty, Taylor and Abigail helped with moms service. We had somewhere between 150-200 people come through and I was told at least 20 times “this is the best funeral I’ve ever been to” no joke! During an obviously sad time to hear people say that brought smiles to our faces knowing we gave mom the best send off we could. And we couldn’t have done that without the help of everyone at newcomer St. Peter’s. Thank you all!
I highly recommend Newcomer as your choice when your loved one passes. Newcomer on Midrivers Mall Dr made everything so simple. The staff is genuine, caring, so very helpful. The peace, and spirit our family felt was wonderful. They go above and beyond to make sure everything was just as we wanted. Alex Mock guided us through all the steps that needed to be made. He helped recommend items we might need, let us know what we really didn't need, Alex was caring, and we felt it. Marty Smith made sure the room was set up correctly, he always checked on us to make sure we were doing ok. He was there to answer questions I had at the end of the viewing. He confirmed what was to go to the church. Marty was beyound an "employee" he was caring, loving, gentle, always making sure everything was going as needed. He took care when moving the casket. At the cemetery Marty and his associate were helpful and guided us as to what we needed to do. I can not say enough great things about Newcomer. They truly made this whole experience a positive experience. They helped me carry out my mothers last wishes. All the staff are caring, helpful, and want to make your experience one that you will remember, and it shows. I highly recommend Newcomer to everyone having to go through this tough time. They are truly the best. To the staff at Newcomer, thank you so very much for everything you did for our family. I wish the review could go bigger than 10. I would give you more than 100%

I can’t say enough great things about Newcomer! It’s such a beautiful and comforting place. The entire staff was so amazing from start to finish. They did a great job on my father. They took care of every detail. I want to give a big shout out to our funeral director, Abigail W. She handled everything with care and her knowledge helped us get through this difficult process with ease. Marty was also a great help! The price was right!! I highly recommend Newcomer!
For the darkest day in our life the staff there was absolutely amazing! Abigail helped out so much and Marty truly was an as my daughter stated guardian Angel. Thank you all so much, everyone there was so caring and accommodating.
My daughter passed away suddenly on March 1st at her and her fiancé's home in IL. I live in St Charles MO and being her nearest relative had to handle her arrangements over the phone with the EMS and coroner. What funeral home was she to go to. My family had always used Baue so this was my choice. I contacted them and explained everything, including cremation. Information was exchanged from my end but not a lot from theirs. I hung up and decided I needed to find an alternative. God sent me to Newcomer, St Peters. I spoke with a very pleasant and caring lady, Brigitte hope spelling is OK. She already lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. She listened carefully to my story and concerns, especially about having her transferred to Baue. She reassured me they would handle everything and I shouldn't have to have any more contact with them. She set up an appointment to meet with Abigail about our wishes, etc. This was the first time I've ever felt unhurried or pushed into making a quick decision. She guided us through the entire process with such care. Sometimes we wouldn't be on the same page or couldn't express exactly what we wanted. She very calmly reassured us and told us to take our time. There was no need to rush. From our first meeting and until her final service, I dealt with many other staff members when Abigail wasn't available. They accommodated any last minute changes without ever rushing me. They found a nondenominational minister, Pastor Noel Stevens, who really wanted to know, Sarah, through his lengthy phone conversation with me. He listened to our wishes of wanting to celebrate her life. The entire staff at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, St Peters is head and shoulders above Baue and all the others. Their prices are exceptional. Most importantly, they care! A heartfelt "Thank You" to Newcomer and their amazing, caring staff .
Newcomer Funeral Home went above and beyond for my family. They were so patient and kind and listened closely as we talked about my mom so they could add special touches throughout the service. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is suffering the loss of a loved one. I just can’t say enough how amazing they were. A special thanks goes to Abigail and Marty at the Mid Rivers location. They took care of everything and treated our family like we were one of their own.
Two thumbs up! I was so impressed with the level of service and care we received when my dad passed. Abigail was our director. She was so kind, compassionate, sympathetic and comforting. She guided us through this difficult process and coordinated everything. There is no way we could have received better service anywhere else. Highly recommend Newcomer.
