Get your books returned through a clerk. Usually I drop them in a return container but I have had to buy two returned books. I only read in bed or on my couch. I never drink or eat while reading. The 1st book was damaged because something sticky was on a page. The 2nd damage was a water spot. I did not do this damage. If you want to check out more books you have to buy the damaged book. It really upsets me because I treat books with respect. I will only return books now through a clerk.
Great library!!! The employees were very helpful and friendly. I do have one suggestion, it would be beneficial to have designated areas for visitors to conduct video interviews. I know most visitors use the library for school and research, but in today's economy, having the local library to conduct interviews via the internet would prove beneficial to the community. In my situation, my laptop speakers went out and I had an interview scheduled, so I thought the library would work for me, but unfortunately, it did not. I was fortunate enough that the potential employer understood my dilemma, and rescheduled my appointment. Long story short...I had to purchase another laptop. This is not an option for many who are currently seeking employment. I just wanted to share... hopefully, this will bring about a change involving the library setup.
The building is beautiful, the manager is AWOL at all times, but the staff is quite helpful. Nothing happens at this library. No helpful programs. The conference room sits empty and idle year in and year out. A decade of wasted space that should be educating the public. It has been closed for a 18 months. With masks and social distancing, this place should have been open by now. Tax money spent on upper salaries without any real return.
I visited this branch on July 17, 2019. The renovation did make the inside look much nicer and welcoming. I was doing some business work in which the wifi connection was great the entire time. I did have to get assistance with connecting to the wifi only because I never set up a pin for it. I will comment on the staff, even though I didn’t encounter anyone being extremely rude I will say they can use some work at providing better patron service. Other than that I would recommend this branch for your needs.
Professional and Quick. Disregard the woman that was on my butt in the line, she don’t know any better! Other than that, it was a great experience! Thank you guys!
I visit every week. unlike some comments here I find the staff to be very courteous and helpful. I saw a comment criticizing book selection. I don't know where that person is from but they have an excellent selection for a town of this size. You can't expect the selection you find in Boston or Chicago
This library is one of the best. It's super quiet as it should be and there aren't a bunch of people always inside. The staff is very nice, knowledgable and helpful. I'm so happy that it's not far from my house because my children and I love going here.
Very helpful personnel. Great experience every time.
The most unpleasant experience I have had trying to utilize a library since library wi-fi was a thing. Spent 30 minutes trying to connect to either the NCLS or my phone. I do have a library card, but could not remember my password. But, could not take actions to try to get my password because the service signal on my phone was blocked. Essentially - prevented at every turn to make any move until I stepped outside so I could use my phone to take care of the password issue so I could come back in and sign into the wireless. Went up to the front desk to get assistance and was told I would need a library card to access it. Gee... thanks.. that was helpful. I came here to do an hour of school while waiting for someone. Guess how much I got done..
The renovation didn't include any improvements to their WiFi. Can't do any online work on my laptop without constant WiFi disconnects. The staff is nice though
