The team at Newton veterinary hospital is warm, caring and helpful. Our 7 years old flat coat retriever, Pickles, suffered a seizure and they saw us right away. Pickles had never had a seizure before so my wife and I were terrified. Pickles is a loving and caring dog but does not always do well with strangers and at 120 lbs this can be quite scary. They took their time with us and made sure he was relaxed and comfortable before proceeding with blood work. They were very patient with me and allowed me to work with them to keep Pickles calm. They were honest and upfront with costs as well. We were warmly and efficiently greeted by the women working in the front office, cared for by a friendly and informative team of caregivers and wished a speedy recovery by members of the front office team when we left. This all happened seamlessly while other visitors were being attended too. My wife and I are incredibly appreciative of our time spent with the newton veterinary team. Thank you!
I wish I was writing this review based on a pleasant visit, but I am not. Nothing to do with Newton Veterinarian Hospital though. I went to have our cat euthanized sadly. My normal veterinarian is out for a month due to having a medical procedure, so I had to find a place that would take me fast without an appointment, as well as not being a past customer. This was my only visit here. So I called ahead and they told me what to expect and the charges involved. There was a $60 emergency fee and the total bill was less than $150. This was to take my cat home, no cremation or burial services. Everyone was very compassionate and offered me all the time I needed. They brought us into a room that was very relaxing. Well as relaxing and calming as this experience can be. It's made for euthanasia this room. It has a wall, well a few walls, that people can add little paper leaves with tributes to their pets. I found this very nice. Another very nice, very thoughtful point was they have an exit right in that room where you can go out this side door, and not have to walk through the main lobby. This was great planning on their part as many people will be walking out crying, and who wants to do that through the main lobby with a bunch of people. I do suggest if you have to do this, park on the side of the building left side alley. I parked in the front not knowing about this side exit I would be using. The place itself is bright and clean and people are very friendly. They have a grooming area and a little pet store area no pets, just accessories, toys etc. Very cleverly named, but I won't ruin that. The names made me chuckle. Hopefully your visit will be for a fun reason, like getting your furry friend groomed.
Came here on a holiday weekend when our regular vet was closed. They were awesome. Saw us right away. Luckily our dogs problem was nothing major and easily fixed. The staff was very nice and they did not gouge for the holiday weekend. We were very happy with the price. Logan and his family thank you all for your kindness.
I can’t even begin to tell you how grateful I am to have brought my dog here! Not only were they attentive on the phone, answering all the questions I had about my emergency situation, but they worked to get me on their schedule as soon as possible. Dr. Kim gave extra special care to my sweet boy and the staff made him feel comfortable and relaxed during a stressful time. I’m beyond grateful for their honest recommendations instead of trying to take every last cent I own like my past vet. My boy is now resting comfortably at home enjoying all the cuddles and treats he can get. 20/10 recommend this hospital no matter how far the drive is - their care is exceptional!
I really like this place. On the rare occasion I would have to bring a dog in my care, they have been accommodating & professional. I recently brought a dog who showed major aggression during vet visits. Their professionalism, willingness to work with myself, the training & the dog sets this hospital, plus their staff apart.
Gracie was EXCELLENT!!!!! Wonderful bedside manner and care was given to my dog, Fiah. My dog was bitten and in much pain. Gracie took the time to gather the important information needed for the vet to treat my dog. Gracie did so in a loving way she was soft spoken, and extremely knowledgeable in the field. This “Thank You” note & her acknowledgement is long overdue!!!!! C. Zeich Byram Twp., NJ
One of the best vets around. My dog had a piece of raw hide stuck in the roof of her mouth and the vet tech was beyond amazing with helping us get it out. They were the sweetest people and the most genuine when it came to my fur baby. Thank you so much for everything you did to help us. We highly recommend coming to Newton Animal Hospital it’s one of the best around.
Everybody was very welcoming and accommodating. Our vet tech Michael was very friendly and gentle with our dog. We will definitely be going back!!!
