The Nez Perce Wallowa homeland project is a grassroots endeavor to develop a place in the Wallowa Valley where the Nez Perce people can once again celebrate their traditions and customs.
The Nez Perce Homeland site, consists of 320 acres just outside of the city of Wallowa, has become the permanent home of the Nez Perce Tamkaliks Celebration and Friendship Feast. The site includes lush Wallowa River frontage and bottom- land, rimrock bluffs, and grassy uplands with spectacular views of mountains and traditional valley camping and grazing areas.
