Very nice privately owned campgrounds. Extremely helpful staff who assisted us in finding someone to repair our class c camper when we broke down! Nice playground for the kids. The pool looked nice though we didn't have the opportunity to use it. Sure, it's an older place and being privately owned, it isn't as manicured as a lot of people would expect but the good points far outweighed the bad. Would return!
Took a chance on tent camping here and it paid off. It's about a 30 minute drive to Niagara Falls Sate Park so not bad of your only commuting once a day. It seems like mostly permanent residents here, so the tent sites are in a little need of repair but totally manageable. Bathroom and showers aren't too bad, may need to up the cleaning a little because the women's was almost out of TP. The playground and pool are a nice bonus.
We enjoyed our stay. We had full hook-ups that all worked. Our site didn't have any trees for shade but it didn't advertise that it did. We thought the campground met our needs and was a reasonable cost. It is not a fancy resort like camground but they do have activities, a playground could use a little work in some areas but not terrible, 2 outdoor inground pools they were empty when we were there - only open July and August, basketball court and a bouncy platform. They have laundry facilities- 3 washers and 3 dryers $1.50 each. Their smallest bundle of firewood was a bucket of approximately 30 sticks for $35. We thought the wood was a little expensive but it was hardwood and maybe that's the going price around there. The campground was quiet and we had no issues with any campers. They do have a lot of seasonal campers it seemed. The road is very bumpy coming in. It could use some gravel and blading. Nearby activities: Niagara Falls is about 18 miles away Noteworthy details: Kid friendly; pool; playground; coin operated laundry available
One of the most well maintained campgrounds I've ever visited and the owners and staff go above and beyond to create a fun atmosphere and family friendly space. Themed activities, charity events, live music, food trucks, well stocked camp store, etc. Always a great time for all and conveniently located not far from Niagara Falls, the wine trail or Buffalo.
A cute park with lots of potential! Heard their are new owners two years in. I think the priorities should be have the seasonals clean up their sites, there are so many that are disgusting!! Road coming in needs alot of work. Friendly service when checking in. Never asked for dogs rabie certificates, but had our map to site highlighted. The pool seems ok, needs some work but love the idea of a wading pool and a4'. The playground is old school which isn't terrible it's wood and needed to be treated. Seasonals have golf carts, but I don't think they're necessary the park is very walkable. Friday night was quite, didn't know how Saturday works be bc it poured. Had a nice site in the shade, all the rain went into the road. Had sewer site, electric was good too . Coming from a Koa seasonal we were spoiled here with the electric and sewer. Could've used a new picnic table, that was was old and moldy. All in all to me it was a fine park just needs a few upgrades.
Ridiculous fees that are “unable to be reversed.” Called the campground to check for availability, the girl on the phone said sites were available and offered to reserve a spot for us. When she told me the fee it was $26 more than the rate listed online. When I asked about it she said it was the reservation fee and that fee would be applied whether booking on the phone or walking in. I gave card info to hold the spot but was told I wouldn’t be charged until I showed up at the campground. Looking online after I got off the phone I could book the next camp site over for $16 less including all fees than what I was charged over the phone. I called back to ask why the difference. The girl I spoke with called the owners and they basically said that’s the way the system is set up and because I did same day booking it’s not refundable and they won’t waive the fee. I asked about my card supposedly not being charged until I checked in at the campground that way I could book cheaper online, but because they took my card info they are still charging me the full amount whether I check in or not and would charge me double if I had rebooked online. Waste of money and poor customer service by the owners.
Similar to what has been said before, save yourself the money and find another place. We only stayed the night and while it was okay, but we were happy to leave. The campground looked to be storage for long term trailer camping, most of which have perminte structures next to them. The bathrooms, were okay, but my fiance reported a lot of the locks in the womens room didn't work. Also, don't even think about going even 2 mph over the 5mph limit even for a few seconds. The owners were very rude and didn't hesitate to swear angerly in a threatening manor. The speed limit only applies to us, as I watched the owner fly around the corner on his side by side, and would not had a chance to avoid anything if something popped out quickly.
no. please no. bathrooms: dirty, bugs coming out of drains, while you shower you have to hold the nob, there are 2 bathrooms, one is so much better than the other and i was closest to the dirty one and had to walk to the clean ones, but the workers barely clean the bathrooms. sports: the volleyball net is 2 sticks and a wire , not even a net, had to bring my own from home. basketball is just the rim, not too bad but please. golf looks abandoned and dirty. all we did while camping is ride bikes and stay at our campers cause there was nothing to do. please go somewhere else DO NOT stay here!!
Mostly permanent sites. The travelers sites are very tight and strangely shaped. We had to request to be moved because there was no way we could fit in the site they originally gave us. If you do opt for full hookups, you do get a standard sized site. The place is relatively clean but most of the permanent campers have been there for years. They take care of their lots but they are old. The price was actually pretty high for partial hookups. It was close to $300 for the week and we did not even get sewer. The site was also very wooded and sandy. All dirt and sand- kind of a mess. ATT and Verizon cell service was good. Not the best but we both were able to work from it.
We stopped here to see Niagara Falls. We stayed 1 night. Upon arrival, around 6pm, the “office” was closed, our packet was on the door, but no gate pass. So we had to call the number both times to get into the campground. It’s pretty run down, the pool is empty, the playground looks sketchy. I didn’t let my 7 year old play on it. It was quiet at night and we didn’t have an issue with neighbors. Lots of seasonal campers, but sloppy looking campsites. In the morning we tried to empty our black tank in the “sewer” which was literally a hole in the ground. It backed up and was disgusting, because the sewer was full. We decided to use the bathrooms and they were awful. Dead trees with limbs hanging over campsites, the road was awful, major potholes. Even at 5mph we were concerned about our trailer. Overpriced for what you get. We paid extra for full hook up, but couldn’t use it. I would not recommend.
