I visited this office ONCE and was not impressed so I transferred my care to another office in the Greenville area. 18 months later I am getting a bill for an appointment that was cancelled. I'm trying to resolve this privately but a the office is closed and b they don't return phone calls even though I've left multiple messages. I just want this bill to go away. How can someone in this office make it happen? Update: Here’s how the office made this go away… I was threatened with collection and court action so I just paid the bill. I hope that the people involved needed the $150 more than I did.
Dr. Lowery was amazing with my son. Very kind, compassionate, and patient. Office is slightly understaffed, so scheduling can be difficult, but the important part was the experience and we have no complaints. My son is looking forward to returning.
I'm new to NC from CT and I tried out SEVERAL dentist offices feeling disappointed and defeated. As a hail Mary I tried out Nice Smile Family Dental and they were everything I had been looking for. The staff from the moment you enter the office are sweet and welcoming and Dr. Lowery herself is so very down to earth, I felt like family. She explained everything to me and answered all my questions. Very kind and patient. I am truly surprised by any negative reviews. I will also say that I am a Medicaid receipent and any dental issues regarding payments and fees has always come from Medicaid choosing not to cover a procedure, NOT Dr. Lowery forcing you to pay out of pocket. Love the office, I feel lucky that myself and my daughters can be a part of this practice.
My son goes here and has always received great care. He loves Dr. Lowery and his dental hygienist. I wish I could remember her name. : They have taken great care of his teeth.
My children have been going to this dentist for a couple years and we haven’t had any issues until our last visit. My daughter was having two cavities filled. While we were there I was just trying to get some clarification about my son and his referral to ortho concerning braces. We had been told quite a few different things previously and I just wanted to be sure I had a clear understanding. He was told one time he had to be a certain age, then again he had to have all of his adult teeth in, and again he had to have good oral hygiene, so I was just wanted to know what stage we were at currently. The hygienist discussed some of this briefly before Dr. Lowry came in and when She did she then she decided to pull my son Medical chart not to better help her give me an exact answer but to literally argue with me about what was said and what she said or didn’t say regarding the ortho referral. This woman Dr. Lowry literally goes back and forth with me for several minutes about who told me what and when, instead of just simply giving me an answer to my question. Now at this point she has already numbed my daughter mouth for her cavity fill and decided to go back and forth with me like a damn child!! After telling her several times this wasn’t that serious it’s fine she continues to try and plead her case about who said what and when. I finally had enough of this nonsense and told my daughter to get up we were leaving and Dr. Lowry storms out and says Good I’ll grab your release paper and release you and your entire family, as if I needed her papers to release me or my children from her practice. Guess it was Medicaid Day for us as well - My daughter was scheduled the next day at another practice and my son has his referral for braces which will be covered by insurance. If you willing to loose 4 patients over something so petty and ridiculous then surely Your doors won’t be open much longer.
Karoyn is absolutely amazing! However, at my first appointment Dr. Lowery came in and appeared very tired, robotic and disconnected. The excuse or reason rather that I was provided was, "I'm so sorry it's Medicaid Day." Customer service for me is huge especially being an entrepreneur for over 6 years. If I am going to be spending thousands of dollars at your practice I want to at least feel that you appreciate my business and see me as an actual person especially when I am private pay. By no means should the customer service from Karoyn who is at the first desk have been more superb than the dentist herself and the hygienist. Speaking of which, the hygienist made a very inappropriate remark to me. She read my chart and saw that I was 32 and had a 14 year old daughter and proceeded to ask me, "So you had your daughter when you were 18?" I said, "Yes," while thinking of the relevance this had to my visit. She went on to mention how young I was and I recalled hearing the words: "More power to you because I couldn't have done that." Immediately I wanted to get up, grab my things and leave. The entire time I was sitting there I contemplated on leaving. She also spoke to me in a very condescending manner. Lastly, I left there paying over $300 for my visit in which I view my money as "seed" and to me it was not planted in a great place. I called today to cancel my next appointment and of course Karoyn with her amazing self tried to talk me into staying but I was uninterested due to this unpleasant experience. The atmosphere in the front is very friendly when you come in due to Karoyn however, once you arrive to the back it's another story. Proceed at your own risk guys.
I have to say that Dr. Lowwery and staff are very friendly and professional. I am a health care provider and value customer service. It is felt that the office is top notch and unmatched. I would recommend her for all your dental needs.
Honestly worse dentist office in Greenville. They want ppl to pay out of pocket that have medicaid which is uncalled for. Me and my kids been going here because they accept medicaid but they are so rude and want to charge you for everything. I missed one appt because overslept and they want to charge a fee....Changing dentist office asap. I told them that I had low income and thats one reason why I had medicaid and she still wanted me to pay out of pocket....Bad for business
I called them due to me having problems. Went to the emergency room Online it says you can be seen for emergency as soon as possible but then when I call it's a different story. Can't be seen til August and it's May.
Love A Nice Smile Dental. All the staff are very friendly and caring. Dr. Lowery is very knowledgeable.
