I'll start off saying I love Nichols. Been shopping there for years an they would get a 5 star rating if it were not for one thing..its hot as mfer in there!!! Its like they dont have an Air Conditioner in there at all. Hard to enjoy the experience when you cant breathe because of the heat.its Louisiana we need Ac. I feel sorry for the workers because they are mostly friendly people and the owners have always been kind,but it's miserable in there. They need to fix this issue fast!!

Wonderful place to buy gifts for loved ones. Bought fishing gear and pool supplies.

I always enjoy shopping at Nicholas when in town.  Love that have a little of everything - nice home decor, hunting,cooking, hardware, clothing.  Employees are always friendly as well. Highly recommend.

Like a Kirklands, Tractor Supply, Academy and Clothing store all in one. I love to stop and pickup gifts for family.

Always a great experience at Nichols! They have the best selection of and better prices for hunting supplies and ammunition than most other places around. The employees are helpful AND knowledgeable.

It's been a while since I had gone. So they definitely have more things in the store. I love going to Nichols, if I went more I would be poor

I generally like this business and had previously given a positive review. However, I am leaving this less than glowing comment in the spirit of constructive criticism. Nichols has a great selection of guns for hunting, sport or self defense. My issue is with the idiotic way in which the handguns are kept and displayed. There is one display case with three shelves. You can see the top shelf pretty well, even though the guns are a bit crowded in. The second and third shelves where the nicer guns are are absolutely impossible to even look at. I saw a guy in his late 50s or early 60s actually get down on his knees just to see what the heck they have in stock. There are probably 25k of guns just piled up on top of each other on the two lower shelves. There is no doubt in my mind but that they could triple their gun sales if they would just give their customers the respect of making the product visible. I suppose they expect people to shop online and then come to the store and buy but it doesn't work that way. I would rather buy from someone who shows respect for me as a comsumer. The management needs to wake up and see how ineptly this whole thing is being handled. It is a crying shame.
