I genuinely love love love diners and this one has become an instant staple in my rotations. Home fries were bomb, over medium eggs were just right, and the service was awesome. Not as big as other diners but that adds to the atmosphere. More chance to get actual service. 10/10 Kid-friendliness: It's a family atmosphere.

I’ve been going to Nicky’s since I first moved into the neighborhood close to twenty years ago. I was all alone and starting my life over. I didn’t know anyone in the neighborhood. I popped in very early one day after a night of drinking. The gentleman working there was so kind and made me a toasted corn muffin with butter and jelly. Everyone was so nice and they didn’t judge me for being a bit drunk. I was like, these people are alright. It turns out the guy who made me the muffin was the owner of the place. He was so kind as was the rest of his family and the staff. It became my favorite place to go in the neighborhood. For some time I used to work a rotating shift and I’d go there after work when I was on nights to grab something to eat because I was too exhausted to go home and cook. Now almost twenty years later I still go there but I no longer spend my nights drinking and I don’t work a rotating shift. I go there to have a bite and to see my friends. It feels like Cheers minus the booze. If you go on the weekend you may have to wait for a table because it does get very busy. My go to is corned beef hash - well done, home fries which I really like because no green peppers in them and only a tiny bit of onion eggs over medium and white toast. Their lemon chicken soup that they make on Fridays is very good and so are their wraps. Probably going there today. Parking: Very hard to find parking. I usually walk there.
Food Was Amazing and staff was very quick and friendly.Food: 5/5

They never disappoint, delicious breakfast for great prices.
My husband and I loved this diner for several months UNTIL yesterday!!!!!!!! I found a piece of the silver lining from a plastic ketchup or mustard bottle at the bottom of my Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad Which is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!! My advice to them is to be INCREDIBLY CAREFUL!!!!!!!
