Nicolas focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning, business succession planning, tax planning, estate and trust administration, resolution of estate administration controversies, guardianships, and many elder law issues.
Nicolas practices at Spengler Nathanson, P.L.L., and focuses his practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate Administration, and Elder Law. He assists clients with anticipating end-of-life decisions and arranging the disposal of their estates in a way that eliminates uncertainties for clients and their families. Nicolas helps clients develop a strategy for the distribution of their assets and regularly handles the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, living wills, LLC plans, and deeds. He also administers estates and handles matters involving guardianships, housing, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, Veterans’ benefits, and planning for incapacity.
Nicolas is a lifelong resident of the Greater Toledo Area. He earned both his J.D. and undergraduate degrees from The University of Toledo, graduating cum laude with both. At The University of Toledo College of Law, Nicolas served as the Executive Board Secretary of the Student Bar Association, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for Student Legal Services, the Social Chairman for the Graduate Student Association, and as a member of The University of Toledo Student Diversity Advisory Council.
During his undergraduate career, Nicolas was awarded “Who’s Who Among Students,” for his outstanding merit and accomplishment both on and off campus. Nicolas further has served in various positions locally, regionally, and nationally for his Fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and has been awarded numerous awards for his continuous dedication to his Fraternity.
Nicolas is currently a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Toledo Bar Association, and Lucas County Bar Association, and he is involved with the Toledo Junior Bar Association. Nicolas serves as a board or committee member for several organizations at The University of Toledo, and he serves as an Alumni Province official for his Fraternity. Nicolas also has been involved in the Mayberry Square Shop Owners Association, which organizes numerous community events in the Sylvania area.
