Art and Fine Craft by Vineyard Artists
Celebrating the Night Heron Gallery's 3rd year, eleven artists from Martha's Vineyard have come together to create a lively and welcoming cooperative gallery. The Night Heron Gallery at 58 Main Street, Vineyard Haven brims with unique ceramics by Washington Ledesma, porcelain by Lisa Strachan, and majolica and imaginitive printmaking by Nicholas Thayer; fine jewelry by Diana Stewart and Kathleen Tackabury; the peaceful watercolors of Ann Howes, and oil paintings of Carolyn Warren. Other offerings include Beldan K. Radcliffe's chine collé etchings, tiles, and upcycled sweaters, and Ingrid Goff-Maidoff's inspirational book arts and gifts. This year Sylvie Bags created with vintage fabric and adorned with beadwork and LA Brown’s thoughtful photography are colorful additions to the artist owned and operated gallery. Visitors to this venue will always meet one of the artists, as they collectively run and manage the business themselves. Eleven artists together equaling 210 years of handcrafted Vineyard arts, the Night Heron Gallery is clearly a one-of-a-kind destination.
