Went to food court twice. First time was good since it was a new place. Was disappointed with Vivi bubble tea the first time because they were not prepared. They didn't have the tapioca bubble for the tea. On the second visit, they had tapioca. Drinks were bad. Cheers cut was great the first time but okay the second time. Lai Zhou Ramen wasn't bad. Be warned .. it's crowded for lunch.. get there an hour earlier. Dinner time was okay.
First Flushing style food court in Edison, NJ! Still have business potential and space available. Looking forward for diversity of food and drinks coming. Cheers Cut is good! Since the business is still in process, 2-stars was given as temporary.
It was good that it had "some" varieties. More or less it's the same stuff just have to find the one that taste the best. The drinks in the food court are pretty good, gotta give a thumbs up to that! Also one of the restaurant`s attitude can use some improvement.
Like a mall’s food court but Chinese style, foods are okay goodsomething different. Different stalls have different regional styles of food.
ONE star for KITTEN EXPRESS - the milk teas are bland and have no tea taste. They were having a promotion buy two get one free and we ordered three large size drinks and one small size. They only took the price off the small drink even though we bought two large ones. When we told them they argued back with a bad attitude. I suggest to get bubble tea from vivi bubble tea instead if you go there even if they don't have a discount because the kitten express ones really don't taste good. The other places in the food court are OK. The lan zhou la mien place gives a decent amount of meat with the noodle bowl. The Taiwanese chicken place gives you freshly fried chicken big in a bento box and I do recommend trying it see pictures!
A great mix of different types of Asian cuisines. I went to the first booth on the right, which had Shanghai Street wraps. both the wrap and the contents are cooked right there in front of you. I can't wait to go back and try the other booths.
Edit: I visited a second time. It was much less crowded and an additional stall opened. The wait times were much less and there seemed to be good variety of food. In general, I'd say you can find some less common Asian foods and it remind me of being in Asia. I saw "coming soon" signs for NJ Food Court for months so I was heavily anticipating it's opening. I imagined that it'd be like a little night market and I think that's what it is going for. There's probably about 10 or so store fronts and an area in the middle for seating. So it is very much like a food court that you'd find in the mall, except that it serves Asia food appears to be lots of Taiwanese and Chinese foods. From my memory, there are several "street food" style restaurants, at least two tea specialty places, a couple of hot pot places, two or three noodle shops, a Xi'an specialty place, and several unopened places. I got food from a noodle place got noodles and kabobs. It was near the Grand Opening so it was EXTREMELY crowded and many shops didn't have their full menu yet. My wife got fried chicken bites from one store and "Ninja" chicken from another. I thought my noodles were good. The actual noodles were quite good and the broth was fine. The kabob was a bit on the dry side, but I was happy with my meal. We also brought our own beers without issue. The waits were also VERY long. And it was hard to find a table you have hover over and jump at openings. Even though everyone around was ordering in Mandarin, the cashier spoke good English. So if you are okay with a very crowded but not pushy, busy place, NJ Food Court is definitely worth a try. I'll definitely go back to see what the unopened stores are and hopefully full menus will be ready.
Love love this place ,if you craving for asian food ,this is the right place to go they have everything from pho to dimsum to bubble tea
If you ever watch youtube videos about the asian food courts in flushing, queens, then you get a sample of the variety and myriad of actvity of people ordering and asian food dishes being prepared. Alrhough at firsr daunting, if its your first time, you might tour all the food stalls before making your discison or make. plans to try each one on different visits. I encountered a stall where a person was stretching dough to make noodles. “lam zhou” i think am ordered hamd pulled noodles with dumplings, it was pretty good and i would order it again.
The place is really crowded and food here is just so so. The grilled meat is cold and the price doesn't match on their menu and screen. You have to wait more than 30 minutes for all the food.
