Nice well maintained station. Gets very crowded during rush hours. Driving in and out in the evenings is a challenge. You can take Njtransit North East Corridor line to New York or Trenton. You can also take Amtrak to various places around the country
Metropark is a large train station in Iselin, New Jersey. It is served by NJ Transit and Amtrak. The station is located on the Northeast Corridor and is a major stop for commuters traveling to and from New York City. Metropark is a well-designed and modern station. It has a large waiting room, several restrooms, and a variety of food options. The station is also equipped with elevators and escalators, making it accessible to people with disabilities. The station is located in a convenient location. It is close to the Garden State Parkway and the New Jersey Turnpike, making it easy to get to from other parts of New Jersey. The station is also close to several shopping malls and restaurants.
We took train from Metropark station to DC … checking in was easier.. we had to walk across to Track 4 and that is where I have taken the photos from .. there are electronic boards displaying the expected arrivals of the train
Safe parking, organised and worry free environment for the commuters. Keep neat and clean, staff was attentive and it also has Dunkin and News stand for all last minute travel needs.
Trains are always on time. Quiet station with lots of parking.
It a small Amtrak & NJ Transit train station. There is parking and restrooms facilities here. Dining options in close proximity are limited.
One side of the stairs has been close for months and no due date to fix posted anywhere. Large crowds of people using one side of the stairs for months is embarrassing.
It's very easy to get into NY from here. NJ transit tickets are reasonably priced and easy to buy from the vending machines. There is also a station agent selling tickets as well. Trains come very frequently.
Easily accessible, quite helpful sign ways to guide you properly. You can reach NYTrain comes at Platform 1 or TrentonPlatform 4. Quite audible announcement system.
I hope some one reads this review and gets in to action as I did it last year too and this is another winter we will be hitting with no heaters working in the waiting areas on the track 1 and 4 being a daily commuter since 3 years. Also its not fair to give us the tickets in the mail for dropping down at the taxi stand when its a long walk for us from the drop off point while the trains are stopping all the way in the start of the platform and last few carts are always closed so you have to walk all the way to the front half of the train. For the walking commuters, coming from the route 27 exit to go to track 1, it is very hard to walk all the way to the end of the track 4 from the road side and then walk up to the midway to take the stairs down then pass the tunnel and take those 30 or more stairs to walk up to the track 1.
