Many people are familiar with our “famous BLT” (Baloo the bear, Leo the lion and Shere Khan the tiger) who occupy the Clubhouse in their large habitat. What some people do not know is that Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary has about 1,500 other “club members” living in the 250-acre sanctuary in Locust Grove, Georgia which is about 45 minutes south of Atlanta, Georgia.

As for our #BLT, this unusual trio came to Noah's Ark in 2001 through the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) as bottle-fed cubs. All three are male and they live together, sleep together, and even eat together as a family. Leo is an African lion, but has no mane due to being neutered at an early age. Shere Khan is the tiger, and Baloo is an enormous cinnamon-faced North American black bear. "We just don't think you'll find this combination of animals living together anywhere else in the world," assures Jama Hedgecoth, founder and director of Noah's Ark. We would love for you to come to visit us here at Noah's Ark Clubhouse and say hello to Baloo, Leo, Shere Khan and all their friends.

Perhaps while you are here you would love to have a "behind the scenes tour" known as "The Walk On The Wild Side" tour (WOW). For just $75 per person (tax deductible), you can have a behind the scenes tour to learn about each animal and their story. This tour is perfect for the avid amateur photographer or those who just want to have a personally guided tour and be within just a couple of feet of a tiger, bear or lion. If conditions are favorable, enjoy a personal, up close encounter with our sweet little capuchins. These tours are provided Tuesday through Saturday at 11:00 AM. Reservations are required and should be made at least 48 hours in advance. There is a minimum of two per tour and a maximum of 10 (no children under 12 are allowed to take the tour at this time). To make your reservation today, contact Selena at 770-957-0888 Ext. 232.

So much more than the pictures show. Such a wonderful place to take the kids and have a day of family fun!! We love to go at least once a month to check up on the animals and feed them. Beautiful trail, sweet and caring volunteers, gift shop inside, nice playground and swing area. Just all around good, free fun! Do not forget to donate what you can! It will help to take care of the animals and with keeping the sanctuary beautiful
My family and I first time at Noah’s Ark. Nice spacious parking lot. Beautiful peacocks walking around the parking lot. It appeared to be mating season for these beautiful creatures. Not a big fan of the picnic tables being right in front of the parking lot. We didn’t get to see all the animals this time. The kids wanted to play in the playground more than see animals. We’re hoping next time we get to see more animals. The service was good in the gift shop. I’ll definitely update the review when I get to have the full experience. Overall, so far, It was fun and all that matters is that the kids enjoyed their time there.
This place is so cute. As soon as we arrived a peacock was casually strolling around the parking lot. The kids loved feeding the animals. My kids want tk volunteer here now. I wish they served food instead of just the vending machine so we could stay longer.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Stopped here since it wasn't too far out of the way of our original route but I am so happy we did! This was one of the cleanest, best kept sanctuaries I've ever been to including other sanctuaries, zoos, etc. The animals look so healthy and they have SO much space to roam around, play and enjoy themselves. I love how natural their habitats are kept so it isn't too artificial for them unlike some other places I've been to. The volunteers and workers here are also so kind and welcoming. I talked to Danielle the volunteer coordinator throughout my time here and she was absolutely amazing! She was so informative and it was a pleasure getting to talk to her about the animals, their care, and other information relating to the sanctuary. I also had a lovely conversation with Wayne about Liberty the tiger which was a very nice experience. Overall, I learned a lot more than I would have otherwise if I had just walked through by myself without asking any questions, so I am very happy about that. Though the admission is free, really try to donate all that you can to this wonderful animal sanctuary. Especially with COVID and the financial backlash from that, this place deserves all the generosity possible.
We went to Noah's Ark for a school field trip and my first graders really enjoyed their time here. They loved walking around and seeing all the animals up close and reading their stories. They liked hearing about how they ended up there.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
The idea and concept of this place is amazing, way beyond 5 stars. May the creator of Heaven and earth, The LORD bless yall to continue shelter and provide healing for these animals. However, the bears, lion, tiger, baboon that we were hoping to see were distant or hiding; that's okay. At least they are safe. The birds were some of most amazing colors: yellow, white, green, pink, blue, black, etc..
We love coming here as a family. It's free but they accept donations of cash and fruits/food for the animals. The animals all seem healthy and not depressed like some zoos. It's also mostly shaded which is great in GA summer heatVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree

This place has a good variety of animals to see. Its a great place to explore for all ages. My three year old especially loved the bears and big cats! We didn't get a chance to explore the whole sanctuary since it began to rain but we loved what we did get to see and we will definitely be back!
