Great store, lots of variety and unique style. 2023 update Many renovations have been made over the years, but still a great supermarket. The ready-made food is a bit pricey for what it is. Perfect stop for a bike ride.
Be cautious of a cashier named Ryan. He is very rude and impolite. We used self-checkout. There were alcoholic drinks in our items. We didn't buy alcohol quite often and was not aware that we could not check out alcohol at self-checkout kiosks. He came over very rudely and took away our alcohol without any explanation, any instruction about what we need to do next, just used his laser pen to point a notice. He treated other white people shoppers politely with greetings and thank-you after they check out. But to us, no greetings, no thank-you, no explanation, no help, just laser-pen pointing a notice to tell you that you are wrong!!! Cannot believe in 2023 in California, we still have racism. Shame on him. People of color, maybe it's not a right place for you to shop. Even if you shop here, do not ask anything from Ryan unless you'd like to be treated inappropriately. We talked with the manager about this horrible experience right after shopping. Not sure whether they will take it seriously.
Decent sized supermarket in this part of town. Generally well stocked and liquor section has a good selection. Slightly pricier items compared to the larger supermarket chains.
They have a good variety of things you can buy from. The food bar is decent for the price, good for a quick meal. The eating area can get improvements. There are very little utensils and the area is quite dusty.
I like the place now better than eight years ago. When I just moved into the area, I came here and did not like the selections. I probably came here less than 10 times in the first 3 years. I got most of my grocery from Whole Food. Then it is kinda far. I started to come here for milk, egg and breads once a week. I started to notice the prices are more competitive and selections are increasing. That is great for me. I don't have to drive all the way to san mateo for my grocery. I still don't buy stuff here when they are not on sale unless I really need them. They could be pricey. However, when they are on sale, prices are excellent. They got good choices of cheeses. I love fairlife milk here. I can get two bottles for $6 when they run the promotion. This is new. Their promotion price used to be $4.99 per bottle. I wish I have a bigger fridge to buy more when they offer that new lower price. I also like the alro cream cheese spread they sell here.
Very nice Asian section. They stock Angelo Pietro Salad dressings and Yamasa soy sauces. These are 2 of my go to sauces for cooking. Great produce department with plenty of selection. Plenty of parking. Very nice and friendly staff.
This is the best grocery store in the area. It's a bit more expensive but the products are good quality. Great wine selection and fresh produce. Also, for Covid, if you go after 9 pm, it's usually pretty empty.
Good market! TheY almost almost always have everything on our list. The checkers are hardworking and friendly,
Apparently customers need to bag their own groceries, or could it be it just happened to me? The cashier scanned my groceries and charged me then proceeded to answer his cell phone and talked on the phone while I bagged my groceries without help. Is this an acceptable standard for this store? It seems low given a high class name like “Nob hill”. This place falls bellow the line.
Solid spot for groceries. I was able to get pork belly for a great deal about 2.99 a pound. The occasional sales and relative distance to my work makes this a nice spot to pick up groceries before heading home. The staff is solid but the selection is plentiful.
