Clean. The food is not up to the standards of Noches de Colombia. Coffee was cold. The guacamole lacked lime so I asked for a lime. The waiter said no they needed them for the beers. So in order to get a lime I would have to order a beer? Someone wanted to add octopus. You guessed it, no add ons. It was clear they needed the table we were rushed out.
A lot of food options. Sometimes food servings aren’t consistent. My wife orders the platter of skirt steak, chicken and shrimp. They barely give any shrimp, so much extra meat juice in the platter, they should serve it all separate. I usually order bistec and they put a whole onion in the tray, which is crazy. The beans are not great. The bakery has tasty options and the staff is usually pleasant. I would personally never eat in the restaurant cause it’s cramped and usually busy.
Awesome lunch! Place has a cool vibe, staff is super attentive and food was mouthwatering!! Everything we had was delicious, can’t wait to go back. And of course the bakery inside the restaurant is fantastic. Bought some pandebonos for takeout, love those from here.
It was definitely an experience at this restaurant, my husband and I ordered our food, but only mine came out, we were waiting for his food but nothing, after maybe 15-20 minutes of waiting the waiter came to tell us that the kitchen lights went out, and they couldn't finish his food. Then, when we asked for the check to pay for the food, they charge us everything that we "order" including the food that was not served, when we told the guy his face seems disappointed, maybe he thought we were not going to notice! The food that we were able to eat was good but definitely service needs an upgrade.
Previous time I came we waited 25 minutes and no one came to attend to us. I was craving this food for awhile so I made the drive to come here. It was extremely disappointing when we left with crafty service. I decided to give it another chance, and I was disappointed yet again. The steak I ordered was so think it crunched when bitten into. It wasn’t burnt or anything it was just as thin as I’m sure the machine could cut it. My hope in this restaurant is gone. Never again!
Quality food, always delicious and a safe option. Menu is not quite the same on Uber eats or delivery apps and they don’t include the sauces even if you ask for them in the notes. Dining experience is alright, I give it a 6/10. Service is good. Parking is not the greatest. I’ve been to better locations.Recommended dishesChicken Wings, Churrasquito, Arroz Con Pollo, Tres Leches Cake
One of my go to comfort food spots. The meals are massive, very good and cheap. The breakfast pastry tho are off the charts good. The pan de bono is likely the best pastry in jersey city.
This place is amazing! Im surprised by the poor reviews. I thought the wait staff were excellent. We were a party of 4, non Spanish speakers. And while yes, a lot of the staff speak mainly Spanish I didn't find it hard to communicate and they were so warm and welcoming. They have a really nice covered outside area. Can't order alcohol outside yet but after we ate dinner we just went inside to the bar and it was great. 6 o'clock on a Saturday was busy but not crowded. You can get a table. The prices are so affordable. And portions are huge! Their menu has pictures for every dish! I love that. And it looks exactly like it does in the picture. I got a salad with skirt steak on top and it was huge! All the veggies where fresh and I really liked the onions, I think they were pickled or something. The steak was cooked exactly how I ordered and was marinated beautifully. Had a great flavor and only 1 slice of it was chewy. My fiance had the whole fried snapper and it came with a salad too. And he loved it. My friends liked their dishes as well. The presentation of the food is so professional. Every plate is so well organized and looks so mouth watering. I think I saw that they have happy hour during the week until 6pm with half off drinks. That's so good! You can then get a pina colada for $6 The bar tender knows her stuff. I really felt like their was love put into my drink. Just watching her prepare every drink she did it so meticulously. She also wiped the counter frequently and kept the bar nice and clean. And there was a lot of alcohol in my pina colada for only $12! I really liked the nice touches with the garnishes as well. It had a cherry and pineapple poking out of the glass and coconut shavings all over. A lot of other bars don't really garnish but this place does and I appreciate that! I tried some of my fiances passion fruit margarita and lime margarita. Both were excellent. So refreshing. And none of the cocktails were overally sweet. They were playing some sort of fail video channel over the bar. As well as a UFC game. The fail videos where actually pretty fun to watch. Another TV had pictures of their dishes. I can't wait to come back. We do archery down the street so we hope to return. I want to try their other dishes and have more drinks!
If you are visiting Jersey City this a must visit. The food is amazing and the service equally great.Food: 5/5
It’s good. Everything is delicious. The menu is well, illustrated, and well-designed. I’m a little suspicious about any restaurant that forcefully adds gratuity to the bill, especially because we were a party of two. But because they did that, I just didn’t add any additional. The food is more than enough to fill you. 2 cups of rice as one of two sides you can have is ridiculous. But like I said, everything was delicious. Yeah, atmosphere is nice, no matter where you sit, you are in more or less direct view of a television, and the furniture is comfortable. The servers are also very polite and responsive. Four stars because I’m picky.
