I'm thrilled to share my wonderful experience with the "Evolution After School and Camp Nomad" at the Nomad Aquatic Center! My son had an absolutely fantastic time at the camp, and I couldn't be happier with the swimming lessons they provided. The instructors were incredibly patient and positive, creating a supportive environment for the kids. Thanks to their guidance, my son's swimming skills improved remarkably, and he now moves through the water with confidence, just like a fish. This camp truly offers a top-notch program that combines fun, skill-building, and safety, making it an exceptional choice for any child interested in swimming.
Definitely not the best experience and a waste of money. Communication was completely horrible from the beginning just trying to get information and get signed up all the way to asking about concerns that are still not answered. You can not get information over the phone, you have to send a email and the emails are not clear. My son is 2 and is in the little boppers class. Day one: as you walk in, there is no chlorine smell or anything that you normally would smell with an indoor pool. The first class was horrible as the water was filthy, cloudy and cold. Apparently the pump, filter and everything else was broke. The teacher never got in the water and there was no life guard. The teacher told us to send a email and I declined until the second class. Me and my son was so cold we spent the entire time shaking. The second class was yet again cold, the teacher never got in, there was no life guard, the doors were open so we spent the class fighting misquotes. A email was sent in the portal with some concerns that was never answered. The third class was yet again cold but my husband got in and even he was cold and the teacher never got in. As I was sitting observing everything I realized there was no life guard yet again, the children playing in the pool did not have a teacher and one child swallowed so much water she became lethargic and her mom had to jump in and pull her out. The women’s locker room was dirty with dust all over the floor, the showers have not been cleaned in years, some of the showers are broken and the toilets are nasty. I had a much better experience at the Y but chose this facility because it is close to my sons school. Unfortunately there is not many swim schools close by but I would suggest a tour before you sign up.
My son has been taking swim lessons here for a few months. Nice facility. Lots to offer. They have a workout room two pools, karate classes, spin classes and more.
I have been on staff here for several months, and I really love the facility! Working with my coworkers has been a blast, and everyone is really nice and supportive when it comes to forming a community. Getting to work with the same kids week in and out allows me to watch their progression as swimmers + slowly grow into confident young men/women. I enjoy being a part of the kids' day, and the community that I see being formed for all families and members of the facility is awesome.
This is an awesome place for kids. This is my son's first year that he is attending the after school program but he has gone to the summer camp that they have offered the last 2-3 years. He loves it. All of the camp counselors are involved with the kids and have a lot of activities that they do with the kids.
We have been members of the Evolution Aquatic Center for 10 years. We started our children there as toddlers in group swim lessons, as I feel strongly that swimming is a life skill. They then transitioned to the year round swim team and are competitive swimmers. What keeps us at Evolution is the excellent coaching, the friendly and helpful staff, and it's convenient location.
Not a good experience..kids are not closely monitored.. my kid gulped a lot of water while the trainer and the lifeguard were preoccupied.. such an incident happened previously with another toddler too in-front of our eyes..manager of the facility is not prompt to take any actions..earlier it was much better but off late it has deteriorated a lot Response to the below message- 1. The lifeguard wasn’t in his place when the incident happened. The incident happened on the backside of the trainer and i am not convinced that the gulping happened for 4 secs. So there was a lapse in safety. 2. There is no emergency contact to report or talk to. Academy following paper and email approach but when a kid is shocked and stopped talking for quite sometime, you should have a proper communication mechanism with the manager or owner which isnt there. 3. I wasnt sugary to the front desk since i was very agitated but neither i used any unparliamentary words neither i was unruly.. aggressive approach isnt the right phrase..The lady at the front desk was rude. Instead of calming a parent she just shrugged off her responsibilities by giving a pen and paper. So training issues there. 4. Email from the manager was really really unacceptable. Next step I shall post that email to different forums to show how inconsiderate you are. 5. You asked not to accompany my kid which is unrealistic.. baseless allegations of past unruly behavior was cited with front desk when I literally spoke in length with the front desk person for the first time.. More you write more you will get exposed, evolution swimming academy..
We could not be happier with Evolution and the after school programs. They are great and my daughter loves it there. She feels at home there and the staff is caring and wonderful with her.
In Saturday 8/13/22 my granddaughter attended her scheduled swim lesson. She went to area for check in and spoke to a young male and stated she was checking in. He proceeded to say, "you want chicken" and began to snicker, he and a girl and another boy. The young boy thought it funny to give a racial slur to an 8 year old girl because of the color of her skin. If he didn't understand what she said, he could have said, I didn't understand you, but no he took the opportunity to exercise what he felt was right, to give a nasty report reflecting his thoughts on someone not his skin color. I reported this to the lady at the front desk, and was told she would report it. I also wrote an email detailing what happened and to cancel my granddaughters swim classes and stated do not draft any more money for swim lessons. I didn't get a response. I truly see prejudice is practiced without a care.
