This beautifully designed lodge by the ocean is full of warm hardwoods, thoughtful amenities, and a peaceful location just steps away from the sandy beach. Lounge by the impressive gas fireplace, watch the sun sink over the ocean from the upper-level balcony, or unwind in the hot tub after a long day exploring the majestic Oregon Coast. This four bedroom, two bathroom home has room for the whole family to gather together for an unforgettable Rockaway Beach getaway.
The second floor of this three-story home is the main level, and offers an open floor plan so everyone can socialize together. The living area has vaulted ceilings, an impressive gas fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling windows to allow lots of natural light. Comfortable leather sofas are arranged before the fireplace and a flatscreen TV with DirecTV and a DVD player, making for a very inviting spot to relax with a movie marathon on rainy days! Cooking enthusiasts will adore the kitchen, which has abundant counter space and updated appliances, including a dishwasher for easy-cleanup. While there is a dining table for formal meals, the kitchen also includes an island with three barstools for more casual dining or sipping wine while chatting with the cook.
The main level also includes a bedroom with a full bed and a full bathroom, making it ideal for guests who'd rather avoid the stairs. The house does include an elevator for guests with mobility issues that can be accessed with special request (it is usually locked off to prevent wear and tear).
Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one especially luxurious master suite. The master suite offers a large king bed, a spacious attached bath, and a private balcony with the best views in the house (the ocean view is peek-a-boo but the sound of the waves crashing in is fantastic!). Downstairs has a bedroom with two twin beds and a TV/DVD player, making it ideal for the kids to have their own space and movie selection. The house also has a washer and dryer to make life easy for a bigger group or longer stay.
The house has a beautiful wraparound deck on the main level, with the rear section overlooking a peaceful wooded area that provides a serene setting for the hot tub and an excellent spot to relax and soak up the sounds of the ocean. It's just a short, flat walk through the wooded area of the neighborhood to the sandy beach. Occasionally, coastal erosion sometimes causes a somewhat steep drop-off that may pose a challenge for guests with mobility issues, but most visitors don't find any problems. The house has a wonderfully peaceful location in the Twin Rocks neighborhood just south of Rockaway Beach, but is still quite close to the eateries and shops of the central business district.
