The food was excellent. They provided chilled water, warm pita with tzatziki. We got their hummus as well and it was delicious. The Kabob meals come with choice of basmati rice, Greek salad or 1/2 rice and 1/2 salad. As you can see in the picture of my wife's chicken Kabob, that's a lot of rice if you just do the rice side. 4 nice chunks of chicken breast in the chicken kabob. My daughter got the falafel gyro. it came with corn and tzatziki. She said it was fantastic. I had the Nora combo #1, which is one Filet Mignon kabob and one koobideh kabob spiced ground beef and it was amazing. I got the half Greek salad and half rice. Had to take half of the plate home. Their soft drinks are bottles or cans, but they are BYOB. I really loved the food. Oh and we took baklava to go. Only one note, they have a single toilette unisex bathroom in which they stored a set of shelves and I think a cold case. That is why they got a 3 for atmosphere. Please address your bathroom and you will be a perfect little restaurant. But still gonna give 5 stars overall.
Huge improvement to quality and quantity! This place used to be pretty lackluster, similar experiences as others in comment section. Gyros with small amounts of flavorless lamb meat and dry pita. However, we tried it again last night and everything was phenomenal! We ordered lamb gyro plates and the meat was incredible, pita seemed fresh, even the veggies that came with it were super tasty. Don't know what's changed, but we'll be eating here more often.
This place has incredible food. They take their time to cook the kebabs and they do it to perfection. My go to is the Lamb kebab an extra pomegranate sauce. It is very delicious. It is so good that I order a second plate and I eat it the next day for breakfast. You will not be disappointed here and they have a lot of other choices.
Raymond, the manger at Nora’s is exactly what every restaurant manager should be!!! Not accusatory about an honest complaint, but better yet is ready to go out of his way to make it right & personally delivered a fresh & super TASTY remake of the order. Customer service at its BEST!!! I gave the food 4 stars simply because my DOOR DASH order arrived a tad quick with the lamb in my gyro cold. Door Dash is a service I’ve grown to dislike & I don’t think merchants love their rip off’s, but thank you Raymond & Nora’s for making things right. Order from them directly Vegetarian options: Meat free for some friends & fam
Wow, incredibly disappointed in the spanakopita. It was 1/2 off on Thursday. Was $5 and change. The young ladies said they couldn't give us change as they had no coins ‍. They never bothered to ask any other employee to get change. One young lady seemed brand new, both were clueless when it came to service. We told them keep it for a tip. I got the tray home after waiting about 15 mins for them to be prepared and they were cold inside - as in refrigerated cold, but nearly BURNED on the outside and SOAKED in grease. The shell was like egg roll wrapper but only tasted of old oil. The filling, beside being cold, lacked ANY flavor AT ALL, none. No garlic, no flavor of feta, just bland. It came with a side of some sauce, marked CW. I tasted it and it was like Tiger Sauce horseradish. Weird. Horribly disappointed I was hoping to get some amazing spanakopita here.
Food tasted very good but I was extremely disappointed with the quantities given. There were 2 pieces of veggies for the entire $18 kabob and the tiniest bit of saffron on the rice in the corner. If you look online for the picture of the salmon kabob they advertise a nice portion of veggies and salmon on the kabob. I hate to leave a bad review because the food tasted great, but the portions are not ok for the price.
This is a nice "homey" place for lunch or dinner. Very generous portions at a surprisingly reasonable price. The lunch menu Chicken Kabob came with pita breads choice of spreads, tzatzaiki sauce, and a half salad and basmati rice. The Mizra-Ghasemi spread is worth selecting for its great smokey eggplant flavor along with the traditional hummus. Delaney, who served us, was attentive and pleasant and worked hard to take care of all the lunch diners. She later shared that you could bring your own beverage no corkage fee. Next door is a liquor store with a good selection of reds. I plan to pick up a nice pinot noir Mark West or a soft merlot Mirrasou to complement the great flavors of pita and hummus and the Mizra the store also has some reasonable Malbecs if you prefer. It's definitely a good place for value and homey ambiance.
We ordered the grilled octopus entree which was excellent but a small portion, we'll try the appetizer next time since that one says generous portion. We also had the koobideh kabob which also was very good. The crispy calamari was real crispy in the outside and real tender inside. Google shows this place with alcohol and beer which is not the case. However they do allow BYOB and a liquor store is next door. Definitely will be back.
I don’t like to write negative reviews, but my gyro was absolutely terrible. I ordered a Lamb gyro and after 2 bites I had to open it to see if there was any meat in it. I paid $12 bucks for a lamb gyro and got 2 slivers of lamb meat. If it wasn’t for 1 bite at the end with a little bit of meat I would have thought they gave me a veggie gyro. I wish I would have pulled the meat off and weighed it. No way there was 2oz of meat on it. McDonald’s regular cheeseburger has more meat on it than what I got in my lamb gyro today. Disappointing to say the least.
I was very impressed with the food, which for me was the vegetable samosas, chicken kabob, and greek nachos with chicken. Everything was delicious and well-presented. Definitely returning to try more of their menu.
