One of my favourite stores inside Rideau. Always so clean with the only reliable washroom around! The employees there have been nothing but sweet and professional with me whenever I’ve bought something.
Visit Nordstrom Rideau Centre at 500-50 Rideau Street in Ottawa located at Nicholas St and Daly Ave near Byward Market and Saw Gallery. Free standard shipping and returns. All the time. Shop online for shoes, clothing, jewelry, dresses, makeup and more from top brands.
Great items for sale but a little bit outside my price range. They do have clearance items but they don't have too much. I love the look of the place and the location is great because it's right beside the bus station.
Best department store I have ever been in. Incredible staff who really know what customer service means. Reminded me of Goldbergs in Glasgow in the 1960s.
Worst experience with the service,omg.. Bold man with dark skin stone i describe like this because i don't know his name, he so rude with the customer I can't find the nomber of the product,me with other customers have same problem and she asked him,where can i look for the nomber,he not even explain but just said here..here he pointing and grab the products from my hand very rood,omg... And i go to another section he following everybody around and see me opening the box because i want to double check the product to make sure is correct because everyone is opening the box,again..omg he said are you opening.. you can't open the box and again grab from my hand and put back at the box.. Omg if i'm the owner of the store i will fire him. This kind of people give bad reputation of the store.
It's Nordstrom... pretty standard store with decent brands. Nothing compared to the Nordstrom in Toronto or Montreal but it's Ottawa so there's not much to expect.
It's been 3 years since I came to Canada from South Korea. My wife and I went to nordstrom to buy a gift for a friend. I was looking for a product, but I couldn't find it. There was a clerk who saw it and helped us. He found us about 30-40 minutes. We cheered and even got gift wrapped and left nordstorm. In fact, it was about $80. It's not a huge amount. But it reminds me of him, worked hard and reassured us. the professionalism and kindness we felt was impressive. I was curious about his name and could see the nameplate on his left shoulder. he showed the best service. Thank you very much Gavin :D Sorry for my bad English.
On august 6 2022, my girlfriend and I drove for 5 hours to go to Ottawa for a music show and while we are at it, stop at Nordstrom for our first time. I had in mind for a while to go to there to add a few Creed perfumes to my collection. The store was elegant, spacious, clean and well stocked. We arrived at the Creed booth and started to look around, there was a lot of choice. A few instances later an employee arrived, Justin. He was stylish and polite. He helped us discover all the Creed fragrances we wanted to smell and also many more brands like Tom Ford, Parfums de Marly, Jo Malone, Diptyque, etc. He was very good at listening to what we wanted without putting any pressure to buy or try more and was very professional. I bought 2 Creed fragrances: Aventus and Green Irish tweed. To my surprise he also offered us two 10 ml samples of the Creed fragrances of our choice. He also included as many samples as we wanted and even talked about sending some by the mail, when new ones arrived. The after-sale service is perfect, we exchanged phone numbers and he will keep me up to date and answer my questions. He even suggested a restaurant to dine at that was really delicious and affordable. The service was over our expectations. I am 100% a satisfied customer and will be coming back. Thank you Justin! Nice decoration and beautiful ambience for shopping! Super clean washrooms and helpful staffs! Highly recommended!
Update: Two years later the service has not changed. In the woman's section and my wife has an arm full of clothes and no one approaches to assist with a change room or even to welcome her. The clothing and shoes are great but staff can be a little unapproachable.
