Dr. John Kim has been practicing dentistry for over two decades and has spent the past fourteen years providing quality dental care to communities in and around Atlanta, Georgia.
Born & raised in Seoul, Korea, Dr. Kim attended dental school at the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School. After graduating in1992, Dr. Kim served as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School while also practicing dentistry in his private office in Michigan.
After moving to Atlanta in 1999, he had his own dental practices in Marietta, Doraville and Suwanee. Dr. Kim is a distinguished member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. In January 2007, at the International Congress of Oral Implantologists(ICOI) Winter Symposium in Orlando, Florida, Dr. Kim was elevated to the Mastership status within the organization.
In 2011, Dr. Kim moved to Athens, GA, where he is currently practicing dentistry. He and his wife Heidi, along with their two children, chose Athens because they felt an immediate connection with the beautiful and serene community and kind people of Athens, GA.
His biggest passion in life is to give back by offering his skills in dentistry to his community at home and around the world. Dr. Kim and Heidi provide dental and medical services to developing nations of the world several times a year. They have volunteered their dental and medical services to countries such as Peru, Columbia, Mexico, India, Cambodia, China, & North Korea.
In his spare time, Dr. Kim enjoys reading, golfing, fishing and spending time with his family. His most recent hobby is vegetable gardening, raising chickens and other animals and continuing to learn.
