If I could go lower than one star I would!! First thing coming through the door you get the STRONG smell of urine. The bed sheets look like they had not been changed. Then the rooms themselves are HORRIBLE, floors sticky and not swept or mopped. The was have very bad patch work. Don't get me started on the staff. WHY are they not bringing their clients FRESH water every few hours?? Why are family members requesting pitchers of water for their loved one. They never come in the room to check the patient they barely glance in the room as they walk by. If you have to use the restroom forget about. The staff doesn't answer the call buttons and when they do answer they pass on to the next person. Once you finally get help the patient has made a mess of themselves. Clean your facility, train your staff to be more client focused, stop asking people to take down their reviews just because you don't like them
I arrived at this place 5:30 this evening...drove my neighbor there so she could bring her husband his clothes. He had just arrived there at 5pm from hospital after stroke. When you enter the facility, you automatically smell urine. Hardly an staff. You have to seek them out. My friend's husband's room was nasty. Besides all maintenance repairs ..walls patched horribly and burnt out light bulbs...the place is filthy. Very filthy. He had no contact with admin. Or a nurse since he had arrived. He had not eaten yet. I tried talking to one staff member just across from his room # 44. The woman never even turned to look at me. She said she would take care of it. My friend was devastated to see where her husband was to be taken care of. I found 2 staff members willing to help us. They seemed shocked when they found out that he had not had dinner. I hope he got something to eat. Dinner menu tonight sounded pretty gross. Cucumber and Tomato salad and egg salad sandwich and jello. I hope my friend can get her husband to another place soon. Th urine smell, no help, no food and it looks like someone threw up on his TV screen and 1 toilet for 4 patients..God knows where they can shower...again..no one realized he had not had dinner. I felt so sad leaving there. Hopefully she can find another place because no one would want their loved one to be there. Don't know what the issue is, though reporting what I witnessed. So sad
This is the worst place EVER!!! Dirty, no help. Everyone was rude. The ladies at the front seat were braiding each others hair while my dad sat in urine drenched pants with it all over the floor. I cleaned up my father and his bed. I went everyday to visit him for 2 weeks while he was inn”rehab” for a broken hip. The therapists only saw him 30 minutes every few days. What kind of rehab was that? He would push his call button to get help to the bathroom only to end up being ignored for hours and sit in his urine. He acquired bed sores while he was there too. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES THERE!!! worst place EVER!!
I am a veteran and a resident here at North Auburn Rehab Center. I came here for therapy related to my need for prosthetic rehab and strengthening so I could return to independent living. The facility director, Bobbie Cheville, is very caring and giving, and has been very helpful to me these past few months. Therapy has been great and I am just about ready to get to my own place. Thank you for the great care and support from management and staff here.
Buyer beware. The service was mediocre at best. Nobody really interested in the position they had. But considering the situation, this would be understandable. My issue is with management. I came in after a complicated leg surgery for a compound fractured leg AFTER an ankle fusion. It was Friday, late afternoon and immediately knew this was not going to be a good experience. However, they would not release me without an ok from the physical therapist, occupational therapist and on site doctor. Understood. Monday came along, Physical therapy says....Good to go Occupational therapy says...good to go Doctor says......Good to go Management says...We want you to stay for a couple more days. You can go, but it would be against medical advice. Medical advice!?! Medical said good to go. I negotiated and they said I could leave after one day, but I had to stay till after 12:00. They just wanted my butt in their bed so they could charge insurance. They charged $210 for the meeting to tell me they wanted me to stay thek extra time. Another example: Getting billing in now. They charged insurance, $25 for "smoking behavior change consultation". They took 3 seconds to tell me I shouldn't smoke.
this place really is a dump, neglect everywhere. call lights going off for over an hour because the aides are sleeping or screwing off somewhere. smells terrible, rooms are outdated, and many don't even have a window to open. repeat covid outbreaks and management is nonexistent. this place should have been shut down a long time ago.
Marta is an exceptional therapist and director. She is very kind , caring and dedicated to her work. Wei is very devoted to his work as an OT . He gets results. He and Marta make a great team. The nurse s and aides are wonderful. They do a great job .Janette is the one who has helped me the most. She knows what I need the most.
My mom was at the facility for 4 weeks. Overall, I was NOT impressed. Mom had a bedsore and it wasn't discovered until she was able to verbalize that her foot hurt. We started pushing for her surgical staples to be removed at 2 weeks post op and it didn't happen until 3 weeks. Either the staff isn't properly trained, or they just aren't doing their jobs. The staff Physician is NOT impressive. We went in every day to ensure she was getting proper care, and when she started to rapidly decline, we had to insist they send her to the ER. Almost every item of clothing she went in with disappeared, including a brand new nightgown that she hadn't even worn yet. The building itself is old and dumpy. With that being said, there are some really wonderful employees ... Marta, PT, is fabulous and Jeannette, LPN, was so good with our mom!
My husband came to Auburn Rehab after a bout with respiratory failure, and sepsis. He has Multiple sclerosis . After 4 weeks he came out able to use his walker for transfers and walking short distances as he did before. The Therapy Portion is amazing. The most notable thing about Auburn Rehab is that the Managers and Staff have. HEART. There are lots of moving parts and all towards making this a 5 star place . Although not perfect Communication between staff members and Sanitation are on the upswing. Make sure you check your loved ones meal tickets to make sure dietary needs are not overlooked . Many new people are being hired . My suggestion to anyone who may go there is to ask social services for a care conference for your loved one and see if you can figure out how your expectations match with reality of what a nursing home has to offer . They have many residents and will accommodate you since you know your loved one best . Any suggestions you may have will help all the residents and staff . While some of the other rehabs rejected my husband over expensive Multiple Sclerosis medicines Auburn Rehab does not discriminate . Thanks Auburn Rehab for taking my husband under your wings.
The place is much better, cleaner since the new administration is in Ms. Gunter is very helpful and caring. I will definitely recommend this is has gotten a much new improvement. The staff seems more happier, they are smiling more, therefore my aunt & the other residents are smiling more. GREAT job on the administration
