North Catholic High School Crew Rowing Team
Established in the fall of 1990 at North Catholic High School, located just up the hill from Three Rivers Rowing Association and the Allegheny River. In 2015 a new facility was built and the school renamed Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic HS. Over the years student-athletes have graduated from CWNC with many of them continuing their educations & rowing careers at such fine schools as Bucknell, Clemson, Columbia, Cornell, Dayton, Duke, Mercyhurst, Notre Dame, Temple, Loyola, Marietta, Northwestern, Penn State, Stanford, Syracuse, UMass, U. of Virginia, U. of Charleston and many others.
As a member of the Midwest Rowing Association, North has had the privilege and success to compete against some of the finest high schools in our region and nation, winning 1 National Championship, a handful of National finalists, several Midwest Championships, and numerous city titles.
